He's fine, Ravindra is almost past the stumps.

He's fine, Ravindra is almost past the stumps.
No, he's in by a mile.
Nothing to see here.
Oh, but has Ravindra ran himself out?

That's how good this pitch is, if you're slightly wrong from a bowling point of view, it will go.
Target 172
And four more! Carved off the back foot this time as Dhananjaya de Silva drops one ever so slightly short.
Ravindra has now overtaken Quinton de Kock and Virat Kohli to become the tournament's leading run-scorer.
Sri Lanka have bowled the occasional bad ball, nothing too drastic, but it's just been remarkable batting.

For Rachin Ravindra to do this in his first tournament is something else. I remember him playing under me at Durham a year ago and scoring a first class double century. All the comments were, who is this lad? It was some of the best batting we had ever seen. It's just a pleasure to watch him.
Wow.
One knee, slog sweep, six.
Rachin Ravindra continues to impress.
Devon Conway has raced to 35 from 28 balls in fine style.
Target 172
Madushanka responds well, tempting Ravindra into a loose drive with a hint of swing.
A tough start for him though, with 31 coming from his first four overs.
As expected, New Zealand want this done quickly.

New Zealand are racing to this target of 172. As good as Conway's cover drive was the ball before, that mid-wicket shot was brilliant.
This is Devon Conway at his very best.
He piles the pressure on Madushanka with two more boundaries, the first driven gloriously past cover and the second whipped through mid-wicket with flair that Kevin Pietersen would be proud of.

That's a beautiful shot over long off from Ravindra.
Target 172
And speaking of class, Rachin Ravindra hits New Zealand's first six of the day with a lofted drive for the ages.
Stunning.
Such a classy player when he gets going.

Madushanka is just showing some nerves here. He goes short to Conway, who is too good for that.

That's really lovely timing, Conway has just leant on that. Just a prod.
Target 172
A Devon Conway in form would be very handy for New Zealand if they make the semi-finals.
He makes it three fours in the over, the first coming practically from a forward defence and the second pulled with a bit of swagger past square leg.
An expensive over - 14 from it.
Edged between keeper and slip for four! Agony for Madushanka.
Conway gets away with one.

Theekshana hasn't got a slip in his plan. With two left-handers at the crease, I would be getting a slip in place.
Target 172
Lovely over from Theekshana, just two from it and deceiving Ravindra with a couple of his variations.
Sri Lanka have showed throughout the tournament that they have a heck of a lot of talent but just can't seem to get them all firing at the same time. Their results perhaps do not reflect some of the performances they've put in (apart from the shambles against India).
