Quinton de Kock was very keen for this one, not so much the bowler, and he is a very good reviewer.

Big appeal from Quinton de Kock for caught behind after Mohammad Nabi wafts at a wide ball.
No interest from Lungi Ngidi but South Africa send it upstairs.

Mohammad Nabi is a very capable batter but he has not showed it yet in this tournament. He is due some runs.

Lungi Ngidi doesn't look right, he is still limping. That is a worrying sign.
We've got a delay because Lungi Ngidi isn't happy with his landing spot.
There are big footmarks already and, given he is always struggling, he wants the ground staff to do something about them before he bowls another ball.
Good yorker to end the over from Gerald Coetzee.
Mohammad Nabi does well to dig it out and gets a single as the ball trickles towards square leg.
Excellent over from Coetzee.

Classic fiery fast bowling. You could see Alikhil just backing away ever so slightly and prodding outside off stump, wary of the extra bounce.
That is why Gerald Coetzee has got to play the semi-final. He has the valuable knack of taking middle-order wickets.

Gerald Coetzee has the last laugh. That wicket was probably the result of the bouncer the previous ball, making Ikram Alikhil play a bit more tentatively.
Alikhil c De Kock b Coetzee 12 (Afg 112-5)
It's the one-two punch from Gerald Coetzee! Vicious short ball followed by a full one that Ikram Alikhil tentatively prods at and nicks behind.
The bouncer had really reared up, whistled past Alikhil's nose and kept going up and over Quinton de Kock's head.
That's likely why the batter was so uncertain in coming forward to the next and the edge is taken low down by De Kock.

It's not a free hit for South Africa with them batting second. They have still got a lot to prove from that point of view.
Five dot balls from Lungi Ngidi before he sends down a leg-side wide.
It proves costly as Ikram Alikhil launches the extra delivery high over deep mid-wicket for six.
That was clean hit from the left-hander.
Halfway through the innings and the 100 comes up for Afghanistan.
There is plenty in this pitch to keep the bowlers interested but you'd still think they'll have to more than double that effort in the second half to challenge South Africa.

A beautiful bat swing.
Swing for Andile Phehlukwayo but it's going early and at no great pace.
That means when he gets his length wrong, Ikram Alikhil can just plant his front foot and thump the ball back over mid-off for four.
Lovely shot.
Looking at the replays of that David Miller catch and he inadvertently used his face as a backboard, bouncing the ball off it before clinging onto the catch!
Ooff! Lungi Ngidi was still looking to be struggling a tad with that Achilles issue prior to the wicket but he ends the over with a brute of a delivery!
The ball rears up and comes off the splice of the bat and slides away for a single.
Quite the welcome for Ikram Alikhil!

Miller was hopping about like a frog at backward point but managed to hold on.
Ooh! He smashed himself in the face as well!
Rahmat c Miller b Ngidi 26 (Afg 94-4)
Better news on the injury front for South Africa with Lungi Ngidi back on - and back with a wicket!
Rahmat Shah reaches for a ball wide of off, it should be punished but he sends it straight to David Miller at backward point.
It looks a regulation catch but Miller juggles it once, twice, three times before eventually clinging on as he falls backwards!

It's not particularly exciting but we can't be too critical of Afghanistan and the way they are going about this.
The big improvement for them in this tournament is the change in their temperament when they are batting. They haven't been as up and down and emotional.
They've had cool heads and been able to absorb pressure - that's exactly what they are doing today.
A quite remarkable sequence for that run out chance.
I'm still not entirely sure why Andile Phehlukwayo delayed his throw and how he then managed to miss the stumps?!
In among all that, Temba Bavuma didn't look to be moving all that well as he chased the ball down. Another injury concern for South Africa?
