That was a pie, that deserved to go for four. Gurbaz is feasting on any width and there has been barely anything threatening his stumps.
South Africa aren't doing themselves any favours.
Well, Gerald Coetzee can't blame this over on his boots.
Gurbaz pulls him over the inner fielding ring - it's not a clean connection but the ball just about dribbles to the ropes. A better four follows, confidently lashing a wide delivery away through backward point.
He then finds three down past mid-on, before Phehlukwayo recovers.

I do enjoy Gerald Coetzee's headband. It's quite menacing.
Gerald Coetzee replaces Lungi Ngidi and his first over is stalled by the South African seamer having an issue with his bowling boot spikes.
It's a lengthy delay, with many of the South African fielders taking the chance to have a sit down.
Somewhere Angelo Mathews is fuming again about broken equipment and the consequences of time delays.

Afghanistan need to win by around 430 runs today and Pakistan need to win by 287 runs against England tomorrow to overtake New Zealand in fourth place.
I know that England have been bad but that seems unlikely. There will be some serious questions to be asked if that does happen!

There was no expectation for South Africa to reach the semi-finals before the tournament, in fact they only qualified for it at the very last minute.
But now there is pressure and expectation so there will be criticism if they bow out in another semi. There is a big opportunity to do the rugby and cricket World Cup double and that would be very special.

It's like these two openers have swapped roles today. Gurbaz is usually the aggressor and Zadran is usually the anchor.
A tight over from Ngidi is spoiled by a final ball that sits up for Zadran.
Bit of width too and the Afghanistan batter lashes it to the point boundary.
