Mujeeb is such an unusual bowler. He's got so much skill and so many tricks.

But every over, he wants to show them all. Why don't you just bowl four or five of one, your stock ball, then one or two changes.

I think he'd be a better bowler as a result.

Mohammad Nabi struggled against Australia, having to bowl to the right-handers but Afghanistan have managed to get him in for five overs against the left-handed De Kock.

His race is pretty much run now. He might get one or two more just because he's in a good spell.

  3. SA 75-2published at 15 overs

Ah, that's cute from Rassie van der Dussen, reverse sweeping Mujeeb past the keeper for his first four.

He turns the final ball down to fine leg to retain the strike.

  4. SA 69-2published at 14 overs

New batter Aiden Markram takes two through point and then pushes a final-ball single into the same area to retain the strike.

Two new batters at the crease, and a touch of nerves in the South African camp, you'd imagine.

You can see why it was given not out, it's that cheeky little push of the pad to take it outside off after the initial impact.

There is a little bit more on the line with the middle order being exposed so early. Are the demons going to resurface?

It looked close, it was just a question of whether it hit him outside the line.

It hit him just in line and he's gone. Going on to hit the leg stump.

De Kock lbw b Nabi 41 (SA 66-2)

    Gone!

Nothing on snicko, we go to ball tracking and it's three red lights. The ball takes the leg stump with enough on it to avoid an umpire's call decision.

The tournament top scorer departs, a crucial wicket for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan were pretty confident. It feels like it must be quite close.

He might have got outside the line.

Afghanistan think they have Quinton de Kock lbw, attempting to reverse sweep Mohammad Nabi.

Nothing from the umpire, we go upstairs on review.

This is an important passage of play and Rassie van der Dussen's tempo is going to be important.

We've seen in chases before, because of how much time he takes to get in - which is fine when you're batting with De Kock and other dynamic players - when he and Bavuma batted together for a long period, the game goes nowhere.

He needs to work on it and have a better tempo at the start of his innings.

  11. SA 66-1published at 13 overs

Oooh, Quinton de Kock nearly smears Mujeeb through backward point but the ball is stopped by a diving Naveen.

Just a single, saving three runs.

There is no obvious dew out there at the moment but we think there will be later.

  13. SA 64-1published at 12 overs

Lovely maiden over from Mohammad Nabi, holding the tournament's leading scorer to six scoreless deliveries.

One grips a little and beats De Kock's bat - very close to an outside edge.

Tame dismissal. He was probably never going to hit that for six.

You might get hit once, maybe twice, but so often we see these long hops get wickets.

Bavuma's innings is over. It's another start but he's not been able to go on.

His eyes probably lit up there but, in the end, it was a bit of catching practice out on the deep for Gurbaz.

    Bavuma c Gurbaz b Mujeeb 23 (SA 64-1)

Change in the live text commentator, change in the batter - Bavuma goes!

He goes to pull Mujeeb flat over the square leg boundary, but can only loft the ball into the hands of Gurbaz, who takes a few steps to his left and then sets himself to take a simple catch.

A first South African wicket falls. The start of a trademark collapse? They'll hope not...

It was in the slot and De Kock delivered. The ball is bouncing on the concrete down below us.

A nice efficient shot. The second time he's done that.

  18. SA 57-0published at 10 overs

    Target 245

In the slot and launched down the ground by Quinton de Kock. Straight out the middle of the bat, like a golf swing.

A lovely way to end the powerplay, which leaves South Africa in a very strong position.

A tough welcome for Azmatullah, perhaps a little tired after his batting heroics earlier.

And with South Africa accelerating, it's time for me to hand over to Mike Peter to take you through the middle overs.

Can't see too many queuing up to bowl to Quinton de Kock in this sort of form.

Pre-meditated from Bavuma. He got inside the line and just helped it to where fine leg would have been.
