If they have to keep turning down singles, though, he may find himself getting frustrated.

It's not been the most explosive start from either side but South Africa will probably be happier - although one of their openers being unable to run isn't ideal.

Quinton de Kock gets back in time but that was a dreadful mix-up. And that is the problem with Bavuma's injury. It is making the decision-making very difficult for them both as to whether they can make runs or not.

Oh dear.

Has there been a run out after a terrible mix-up between the pair? A direct hit takes out the stumps at Quinton de Kock's end, so if it's out, this would be disastrous.

It was definitely the bounce on that occasion, he wasn't quite sure where he was hitting that. I'm not sure that will help him, he wants convincing runs, not just runs.

Again it's not perfectly controlled, this time by Temba Bavuma as he takes on the short ball from Naveen and gets a top edge over the keeper.

Bavuma needs a bit of luck to go his way. It is like he is batting purely to force himself into some form at the moment.

Quinton de Kock has very quickly reclaimed his place at the top of the tournament's run-scoring charts.

Saying that, the pair take a steady single down to deep third and Bavuma is definitely still limping. I'm not sure we're going to be seeing many quick singles taken here.

The positive for South Africa is that when Reeza Hendricks came in for Bavuma earlier in the tournament, he did brilliantly, so they do have a very handy replacement on the bench if necessary for the semis.

Three singles to end the over, and Temba Bavuma looks to be moving relatively well at the moment after his struggles in the field.

It must make his job a heck of a lot easier batting with Quinton de Kock in this form, though.
