  1. Ind 123-1published at 17 overs

Dare I say it, King Kohli looks a little bit nervous today. Is that record weighing on his mind? A couple of unconvincing shots off Roelof van der Merwe.

Just a single off the over.

  2. Ind 122-1published at 16 overs

Dutch all-rounder Bas de Leede, who has both his father and grandmother present at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, with a really impressive over. Just three from it.

Virat Kohli skips down the pitch to the Durham man's third ball and chips it to mid-off but it fall just short. Substitute fielder Shariz Ahmad could not quite get his hands under it.

    Here's the best of Shubman Gill's half-century.

There is no pressure building for the Dutch. It is tough but the Netherlands can't afford to let their heads drop.

  4. Ind 119-1published at 15 overs

Lots of ohhs and ahhs from Roelof van der Merwe, who is trying to create a bit of theatre out in the middle.

He keeps it relatively tight in the remainder of the over with three singles picked up off it.

Rohit Sharma has overtaken AB de Villiers' for the most ODI sixes in a calendar year - and he is still going!

  6. 6 runs

    Ind 110-1published at 14.2 overs

Rohit Sharma has decided to sweep against the left-arm spin of Roelof van der Merwe and he just about clears the ropes at the first time of asking.

Rohit Sharma has showed all of his range and while he has got plenty of quick starts, he has shown that he can pull back the control when he needs to.

On this pitch, he will want to cash in.

  8. 50 runs

Half-century for Rohitpublished at 14 overs

Not the most fluent innings from India skipper Rohit Shamra but yet another half-century at the World Cup.

He gets there in style, though, creaming a drive off Paul van Meekeren through the covers for four.

  9. Ind 105-1published at 13.4 overs

Virat Kohli, who could break the record he shares with Sachin Tendulkar for ODI centuries (49) today, hooks a bouncer from Paul van Meekeren down to square leg and there's gasps from the crowd.

But it drops shot of the fielder.

Shubman Gill's wicket has slowed things down, as expected.

  11. Ind 104-1published at 13 overs

Brilliant from Roelof van der Merwe as he diligently probes outside of off stump and restricts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to a couple of singles apiece.

He has 0-13 off three overs which is positively miserly in the circumstances.

Virat Kohli is from Delhi but he is a favourite here because of his time spent with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. He knows exactly how to get the crowd going.

Now then. Crank up the volume.

    Here's Virat Kohli.

Paul van Meekeren celebrates with Teja Nidamanuru after dismissing Shubman GillImage source, Getty Images

Wow, Nidamanuru has done a fantastic job there. His heel is very close to the rope but he has kept his balance brilliantly.

But listen to the roars. Disappointment quickly turns into delight when the first Indian wicket falls and it brings Kohli to the middle.

    Gill c Nidamanuru b Van Meekeren 51 (Ind 100-1)

Teja Nidamanuru must have taken ballet in an earlier life.

Shuman Gill's mistimed pull off Paul van Meekeren goes high down to deep square leg but it does not quite have enough distance on it.

Nidamanuru holds the catch high above his head but then somehow balances on one leg to prevent himself stepping back over the boundary.

A lovely innings from India's heir apparent. He was ill with fever before the tournament but now he looks in fantastic form.

Fifty for Gillpublished at 11.1 overs

A brutal exhibition of hitting from Shubman Gill who brings up his 12th ODI century by nudging a full toss from Paul van Meekeren down the ground.

  18. Ind 96-0published at 11.1 overs

A change of bat for Rohit Sharma.

Shubman Gill's willow looks to be a good 'un. He is 49 off 29 balls.

England have posted some of the biggest scores in ODI cricket and I've been looking at the powerplay scores from those innings.

When they scored 481 against Australia, they were 79-0. When they hit 498 against the Netherlands, they were only 67-1.

So the 500 is still on, big time.

There have been some very good shots, as opposed to bad bowling - and that is going to happen when you are bowling to two batters of such class.

The Netherlands would accept that but there have been so many bad balls too and that is what is frustrating.
