It has been wonderful captaincy from Cummins today, it must be said.

That was such a huge wicket because players who are in towards the end of an innings can be so dangerous.

Mohammed Shami is the new man, getting a nosebleed at number eight. Then again, he is off the mark with a clip off the hip for four. Get him even higher up the order.

Any time a ball looks as though it moved an inch or two on a TV screen, you know the extreme angles of the left-armer, Mitchell Starc, from round the wicket.

KL Rahul batted so beautifully but he's just feathered it behind.

How often has Starc done it in a big game for Australia? He's doing it again.

Really good delivery from Starc. Round the wicket, it just held its line and bounced.

That is the wicket that Australia really wanted. They're down to the bowlers.

Huge wicket! What a delivery from Mitchell Starc. Left-arm round the wicket, angled in to KL Rahul, then darting away. Rahul actually does well to get an edge on it.

A fine, brave knock is ended. Australia are into the bowlers.

This crowd was excitable for 9.3 overs but ever since Rohit Sharma got out it has been a tense atmosphere.

It all feels very 2019 on a similar pitch, don't you think?

In 30 overs, there have only been two boundaries. That is not something that you would expect of an India team, especially not this one with the way they've been playing.

Muted applause for India bringing up the 200. This is a crowd that is not confident. There are a few sitting on hands.

  11. Ind 200-5published at 41 overs

Australia have eight overs of Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood left, so after this one from Zampa, there will only have to be one more from him or someone else. There have been lots of bowling changes from the Aussies, a real pick n mix of an attack. Just three singles, including one down the ground that takes India to 200.

I was the only England supporter in a very busy bar in Cape Town for the 2019 Rugby World Cup final. It was only 11h00, but the beers were flowing. I was told I was brave for wearing an England shirt and staying until the end. The Saffers were very graceful in victory.

Graham, now living in Riyadh with no chance of that happening again.

Unless something really special happens in the final 10, Australia will be facing a target within their grasp. Then it comes down to the dew - lots of it means good for the Aussies, less of it good for India. Will Jadeja and Kuldeep get it to turn? What about Shami and co under lights? This is a good ground to chase. Australia won a tight one in the semi against South Africa.

It reminds me of a football World Cup final where both the teams are very cagey and cautious.

Finally a boundary, finally some noise in Ahmedabad. The last ball of Zampa's over is short and wide, allowing Suryakumar a cut for four. Only the second four since the end of the powerplay.

It's quiet in the stadium and tense on the India bench. It's nearly an hour since the last boundary. The ball is reversing. It's compelling stuff, much more so than if the ball was flying to ball parts. Score predictor says 281. Seems optimistic.

I don't think Australia are going to find it easy when it comes to their turn to bat.

There has only been one boundary since the powerplay. That is extraordinary.

Only one run off that Maxwell over. How many do India need? It might not be runs, but dew that decides this final. If it arrives, Australia will be very confident in the chase.
