I was next to Merv Hughes’ Aussie Army on the last day of the Stokes / Leach Test match. Goaded them all day long, convinced we were going to lose and have some fun despite this. An Allan Border lookalike copped some chat! His mates had to hold him back by the end!

Inglis has the bails off when Maxwell is bowling to Rahul. Australia do this a lot, forcing the TV umpire to check all modes of dismissal.

This is a significant partnership and moment in the game.

There is a sudden dip as soon as one of these two gets out. It's Shami, Bumrah, Kuldeep and Siraj to come.

Suryakumar Yadav is the new man. He has a big job to do, because it's the bowlers next. Huge moment in this game.

Maybe the review did work because it made Jadeja wait and he's gone next ball.

Almost the same delivery as the last one. The only difference is that this time he does get a healthy edge.

Hazlewood went wide on the crease, angles it in and it just straightens a little - enough - to take the edge.

    Gone this time!

Josh Hazlewood has found some reverse and Ravindra Jadeja is sucked into an edge. It's nothing more than a prod outside off stump and a simple catch through to Josh Inglis.

India are in a touch of bother here.

Australian Open Tennis, 1998. Me and my mate were the only supporters for Jeff Tarango against home favourite and 2nd seed Pat Rafter. Lost 3-1 in the end but we gave it the large when Tarango won his only set.

Now then. Has Jadeja edged Hazlewood behind. Cummins gets drawn into the review. Jadeja is shaking his head.

I watched the 2019 semi final between England and India in a sports bar in Central London. It was me (an Englishman), one Aussie and about 40 Indians. Was a cracking day and they took the defeat with good grace.

Overthrows. No one backing up a wild throw allows India to pinch an extra run. Some frustrated Aussies out there.

He's hit only one boundary in his 86 balls but he can catch that up quickly. He's got a great array of shots.

KL Rahul looked a bit tentative initially but he's got a job to do for India now. He's the senior partner and it is imperative for India that he stays out there for as long as possible.

How valuable might this knock be? KL Rahul has 50 from 86 balls and is holding things together for India. The platform is being laid, but there will need to be an acceleration. There's not loads and loads of batting to come, either.

It's a tricky one right now for India. You say why not send out Suryakumar Yadav but his role is very well defined to come out there in the last few overs.

Had the wicket fallen now, I think we'd have seen him walk out before Jadeja.

It just feels like it might be a nipper, doesn't it? One of those mid-range chases that can be really tricky. Think four years ago.
