  1. Eng 139-6published at 17.3 overs

Make that 38 off 15 balls.

Width from Alzarri Joseph and Moeen Ali crashes the drive away.

    Don't bowl there to Moeen.

  2. Eng 135-6published at 17.2 overs

Chris Woakes is the new batter.

He's up and running with a single down to long-on.

England need 42 off 16 balls.

  3. wicket

    Curran c Hosein b Joseph 50 (Eng 134-6)

    Is this the game?

Alzarri Joseph has been really effective banging the ball into the pitch tonight.

He does so again and Sam Curran is unable to get under it properly.

The left-hander ends up slicing it to deep point, where Akeal Hosein settles under it and is unperturbed by the setting sun.

  4. Eng 134-5published at 17 overs

    Need 43 off 18 balls

A good comeback from Andre Russell.

Just three singles from the final four balls.

England take 13 from the over. Slightly below the required run-rate.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Sam Curranpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2023

    Eng 134-5

A maiden T20 international half-centry off 31 balls for Sam Curran.

    A strike-rate of 161.3.

    Can he be the match-winner?

  6. Eng 131-5published at 16.2 overs

    Need 46 from 22 balls

    Four more!

Andre Russell strays onto the pads and Sam Curran tickles fine.

Great start to the over for England.

  7. 6 runs

    Eng 127-5published at 16.1 overs

    Need 50 from 23 balls

    Six to start.

Andre Russell goes slot and Sam Curran just chips him over long-on.

Curran is up to 44 off 28 balls.

  8. Eng 121-5published at 16 overs

    Need 56 from 24 balls

The pressure almost tells on Sam Curran.

He slices a big heave down towards third but it clears the man at short third and deep point isn't able to get round in time.

    A let-off really.

14 an over required from the last four...

  9. Eng 120-5published at 15.4 overs

    Need 57 from 26 balls

    Two dot balls follow.

Moeen Ali walks down for a little chat with Sam Curran.

There's a little fist pump too.

  10. 6 runs

    Eng 120-5published at 15.2 overs

    Need 57 from 28 balls

Sam Curran is on the charge.

He smacks four past wide long-on, before drilling straight back over the head of Alzarri Joseph for six.

    Lovely striking.

Somehow English batters have forgotten how to play a long and match-winning innings and often look out of form.

  12. Eng 110-5published at 15 overs

    Need 67 from 30 balls

Moeen Ali is the new batter.

It is perhaps a bit surprising we didn't see him earlier considering he averages 79 and strikes at 151.92 against left-arm spin in the middle overs.

England let Gudakesh Motie's overs drift by, only taking nine runs from his 24 balls.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.3 overs

    Brook c Joseph b Hosein 5 (Eng 108-5)

    Another one goes.

Harry Brook looks to go into-out over the covers but, like many of his team-mates in this innings, doesn't get enough on it.

Alzarri Joseph is able to get round and take a pretty simple catch.

Dropping Brook to six doesn't work out for England.

  14. Eng 105-4published at 14 overs

    Need 72 from 36 balls

Jason Holder concedes five singles and a wide from his latest over.

West Indies will definitely take that at this stage.

The required run-rate is up to 12 an over again. England need some boundaries.

Hoping Curran will prove me wrong, but when will people realise he's not a good player? Too expensive with the ball. I'm a defensive batter and I think I could hit him all over the park.

  17. Eng 99-4published at 13 overs

    Need 78 from 42 balls

Gudakesh Motie finishes with figures of 1-9 from his four overs.

That wicket of Liam Livingstone was his first in T20 internationals.

Captain Rovman Powell said he was only in the side because of injuries at the toss.

  18. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2023

Harry Brook is in at six.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12.2 overs

    Livingstone c Powell b Motie 17 (Eng 97-4)

    Ah.

Liam Livingstone takes a step down the pitch, looking to dispatch the left-arm spin of Gudakesh Motie back down the ground for six.

He miscues though and Windies captain Rovman Powell is able to come in from long-off to take the catch.

Livingstone's nine-ball cameo was entertaining, but short lived.

  20. 6 runs

    Eng 97-3published at 12 overs

    Need 80 from 48 balls

    Six more!

Andre Russell offers more length and Sam Curran dispatches him over wide long-on this time.

England take 22 from the over and all of a sudden they need 80 from 48 balls. Required run-rate back down to 10 an over.
