    Powell c Rashid b Topley 8 (WI 113-5)

England have not given up the ghost just yet.

Jos Buttler turns to one of his bankers in Reece Topley and he bags the wicket of the West Indies skipper.

It's a delivery slanted across the left-handed Rovman Powell, who attempts to open the face of his bat but squirts it to Adil Rashid at short third.

A yard either side and that was four.

  2. WI 112-4published at 16 overs

"Keep scrapping boys," encourages Phil Salt from behind the stumps but West Indies need just 21 from 24 balls.

England need to pull a rabbit out of hat now.

    Rutherford c Curran b Rashid 30 (WI 95-4)

Adil Rashid duly delivers from round the wicket with his googly!

Sherfane Rutherford looks to strike a full ball on the half-volley and times it pretty well, but can only strike a drive to Sam Curran, who pockets a smart catch to his left.

A bit of dew around now.

Jos Buttler is busy drying the ball before giving it to Adil Rashid, who will bowl his final over.

England need something here if this match is to swing their way.

  8. WI 94-3published at 14 overs

After a brief pep talk Sam Curran is give his chance.

Whatever they were chatting about, being pulled for six by Sherfane Rutherford would not have been among the topics under discussion.

Curran drops his third delivery too short and the ball just sits up and says 'hit me' and the West Indies left-hander duly obliges, heaving it behind square.

  9. WI 83-3published at 13 overs

Master followed by apprentice as Adil Rashid's fellow leg-spinner, Rehan Ahmed, returns to the attack.

A tight over from the Leicestershire man with just three singles from it.

Much flatter from Ahmed compared to Rashid.

Looking forward to that World Cup next year I think spin is going to even more important so that's why England have tried different combinations, with both wrist spinners playing together.

  11. 6 runs

    WI 80-3published at 12 overs

Adil Rashid tosses one up but is too full.

Sherfane Rutherford plonks his foot down the pitch and deposits the England leg-spinner over the boundary for six.

Rashid responds with a googly which spins away to beat the outside edge of Rutherford's bat, but West Indies will be happy with nine runs off the over.

  13. WI 71-3published at 11 overs

West Indies will look to build a partnership, knock the spinners around, then hope for one big over at some point with wickets in hand.

Moeen Ali drops the third ball after drinks short to Sherfane Rutherford but the West Indies batter cloths his pull and cannot find the boundary.

However, Rutherford muscles Moeen's final ball over extra cover for four. He did not time that but got enough behind it to beat the effort of Chris Woakes on the fence.

I have been a victim of Adil Rashid on a number of occasions. He's probably got me out more ways than one! He has so many deliveries to choose from in a wicket-taking capacity. You have to see out his four overs with minimum damage and allow the batting unit to take on other players.

  17. WI 62-3published at 10 overs

"Eeeeh Rasher, brilliant boy!" chirps Phil Salt from behind the stumps as Adil Rashid spins his web. Sherfane Rutherford happy to defend the final two balls of the over.

  18. Rutherford survivespublished at 9.1 overs

The ball-tracking technology shows it was spinning past Sherfane Rutherford's legs and would have missed his leg stump. The on-field decision of not out stands.

Now then. Adil Rashid has tossed it up and the left-handed Sherfane Rutherford has attempted to work it to leg, but missed it by the looks of things.

England appeal, but it's turned down by the umpire.

Jos Buttler backs Rashid and goes for the review.
