There are opportunities there for England's bowlers. I like Reece Topley opening the bowling for England swinging that new ball. Left-arm swing is a dangerous thing to have at the top of the order in T20s. If you do make those early inroads it makes a massive difference and helps the rest of the innings when you are chasing the tail towards the end of the game. It can set-up the game for you.

Steady stuff from Reece Topley to start. Some leg byes off the pads of Johnson Charles help to boost West Indies' run total, though.

This pitch looks sticky, so I'm anticipating a few high skiers in the second innings...England not out of this yet.

    Target 133

A hint of swing for Reece Topley with his first ball and he hits Brandon King on the pad. An lbw appeal of sorts but England decline to purse it further and review.

Right, without further ado. Reece Topley has the ball in hand and is at the top of his mark.

Brandon King is on strike for the West Indies.

In the 10th over it was thought that the West Indies were just edging it. How about now? Bernard Kent.

West Indies made a concerted effort to bowl fuller and straighter and there was less pace off deliveries. They are not the best death bowlers but with wickets falling it was easier to execute with no set batter.

Thanks, Ffion. The average first innings score at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy stadium in men's T20 internationals before this match is 166.

England are some way short of that. In fact, this is the lowest score in T20I played at the ground.

They are going to have to bowl exceptionally to turn this one around.

So, West Indies have a much simpler chase on their hands compared to Tuesday's 267. But the pitch looks to be a completely different one and I suspect Adil Rashid and Rehan Ahmed are looking forward to getting ball in hand.

Here's Timothy Abraham to take you through the chase.

West Indies spinner Gudakesh Moti after his 3-24: "I am very happy with the performance. What worked well for me is bowling on a good lengths and the surface helped a bit.

"The pitch is kind of two paced and it was important to get the ball in the right areas. Akeal Hosein is a very experienced bowler and I am trying to learn as much as possible from him.

"Our batters need to get a good start and once two batters get in it's very hard to contain them on this pitch."

So, West Indies need 133 to win the match and the series.

Phil Salt was once again England's top scorer with 38, with Liam Livingstone adding 28 and Moeen Ali 23.

West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie was superb for his 3-24, while Akeal Hosein, Andre Russell and Jason Holder took two apiece.

What a difference two days has made!

  12. wicket

    Curran c Rutherford b Holder 12 (Eng 132)

Sam Curran holes out to long-off, and England are bowled out for 132.

What an improvement from West Indies. Their bowling, catching and energy in the field has been spot on.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.2 overs

Rashid run out (Powell) 1 (Eng 132-9)

Adil Rashid is run out coming back for the second, but importantly, Sam Curran retains the strike.

Curran hits to long-off, where Rovman Powell sprints, swoops and gets a pin-point throw to the bowler and Rashid is well short of his ground.

Reece Topley is England's last man in.

Ross Matthewman: West Indies have bowled much better, but England’s batting has been so low energy and flat. Really disappointing. They seem exhausted.

  15. dropped catch

Curran dropped on 6published at 19 overs

    Eng 129-8

It's all happening! Sam Curran upper-cuts one towards deep third, where Akeal Hosein runs in but can't cling on to a tough chance diving forward.

But that is a brilliant over from Russell. Two wickets and just four runs from it.

Adil Rashid survives the hat-trick ball.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.2 overs

    Rehan c & b Russell 0 (Eng 125-8)

My word! That is special. Andre Russell is on fire and he's on a hat-trick!

Rehan Ahmed absolutely nails a full toss straight back to the bowler. I mean, that was ferocious. But somehow, Russell takes it in his follow-through, with barely a second to think about it.

He tumbles to the floor afterwards and looks in a bit of pain, but it seems to just be the impact.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.1 overs

    Woakes b Russell 2 (Eng 125-7)

    A beauty!

Everything that West Indies did wrong on Tuesday, they have put right today. Andre Russell nails a full, fast yorker and topples Chris Woakes' off stump.

    England's struggles continue.

  19. Eng 125-6published at 18 overs

And just four from the 18th, bowled by Oshane Thomas.

They have bowled very well but it is incredible how much this pitch has changed in two days. This time on Tuesday I could barely type quick enough to keep up with the boundaries that were flowing.

  20. How's stat?!published at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December 2023

The lowest first innings winning score in men's T20 internationals at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy Stadium is the 149-6 that West Indies defended against India in August 2023.
