A beaten up Rohit Sharma is speaking at the presentation.

He says he thought 231 was chase-able but admits Ollie Pope's knock was one of the best he's seen by an overseas batter in India.

This is England's record after taking a lead of over 100 runs at the end of the first innings in a home Test.

It was such a thrilling win. Ollie Pope, for me, was the difference between the two teams.

Tom Hartley was brilliant but Pope's innings is what allowed England to press on when all looked lost.

He batted with such abandon and confidence, and quickly with those lower order partnerships, it got England ahead of the game.

England bowler Tom Hartley on TNT Sports: "It's unbelievable. It's not going to sink in for a while. I'm over the moon.

"My family are at home! I don't think they'll have done much else today other than sit around the TV.

"After the first innings I was thinking to myself, this is hard work! It was really tough out there. It didn't spin quite as much as we thought but it is testament to Stokesy and the coaches. They really got around me, and I didn't lose any confidence - I could just come out here and do my best this innings.

"The culture in this team is fantastic. If we have a good day or a bad day, the vibe is the same in the dressing room. They are always ultra positive and it is one of the best dressing rooms I have been in."

Ben Stokes and the England players are applauding all the English fans who have come to Hyderabad to watch this brilliant Test. It really sets up the series given how difficult it is to play and win here. The caveat I will add is that the last time England were here they won the first Test and lost the series. But India have a lot of questions to answer after this and England will thoroughly enjoy their night.

Remember that's only the fourth time in the last 10 years India have lost a home Test.

This five-match series just got VERY interesting.

It's a wonderful story for Hartley. His first ball went for six but a brilliant performance in the second innings. A thrilling victory.

A gripping finish and the man who has gone from zero to hero is Tom Hartley. The first ball he bowled in Test cricket was hit for six - the first Englishman ever to be hit for six with their first ball in Test cricket. He had a really poor first innings with the ball and left everyone wondering is he good enough. Hartley finished with 7-62 and got the final wicket of Mohamed Siraj, who went for a big swipe and was stumped.

"It's not going to sink in for a while to be honest," says Tom Hartley.

He says his family are sat at home watching on TV like the rest of us.

Matt: What a Test match victory that is! Backs to wall for part of it but absolutely class from England these last two days! Phenomenal victory in India, not easy to achieve!

    Jonathan Agnew

This is one of the most extraordinary results you will find, particularly in India. For India to have had a convincing lead of 190 on first innings and to lose the match by 28 runs is extraordinary. It really is. It's unprecedented, I guess. It's been an absolute thriller.

    That is simply extraordinary.

    A WIN FOR THE AGES!

With five balls left, Mohammed Siraj charges down the pitch for some crazy, crazy reason.

The ball spins for Tom Hartley and Ben Foakes does the rest. SEVEN for Tom Hartley.

England have had to spread the field a bit with all of the swinging this pair have been doing and it means there are singles on offer.

There'll be one more over today.
