Ben should definitely start this evening's interview with "umpire's call is an essential part of the game".

There's a bit of confusion, as replays show that India may have missed an lbw shout on Stokes. It looked like a standard defensive shot but the bat was very close to the pad, and it's inconclusive, but it would have been a tricky one for the third umpire to decide if it was bat or pad first.

    Don't watch that replay, Rohit.

Doesn't matter who the opposition is, getting over 200 in the fourth innings is a big ask.

Remember how Ben Stokes wanted to get rid of umpire's call? He'd be on his way now...

Stokes had a wry smile on his face as that decision came up on the big screen.

He blocks out the rest of the over.

    Sorry, Tim.

Jadeja is absolutely convinced that he's got Stokes lbw.

Rohit doesn't like it. He reviews with half a second to spare.

Time for a classic Stokes innings please. 2 runs from the first 50 balls before going absolutely nuclear to put the game out of reach would be alright.

That isn't the first time England have tried to play against the spin, leaving us with hearts in mouths. Bairstow has been brilliant at it, but Crawley's fine knock is cut short. He's made a few attractive fifties, without kicking on.

It's smart from Kuldeep and Rohit Sharma. Before that ball, they had a long discussion about leaving a big gap open at cover to tempt Crawley into playing the ball through the off side. Crawley gave in to the temptation and paid the price.

    Right on cue!

Zak Crawley's impressive knock comes to an end as he rocks back to Kuldeep Yadav, the ball turns sharply to beat his defence and rip out middle stump.

Every time England look to be settling in, India break the partnership at a crucial time.

The pitch has been a mystery. Ben Stokes got that one rolling along the ground on day one, but now on day three it seems pretty flat.

That may put some doubt in England's mind about when enough is enough.

England should be greedy. Aiming to post a total 300+ giving India over 350 to chase. This pitch hasn't deteriorated the way we expected, England have an inexperienced bowling line-up and a top-class India team at home to compete with.

Zak Crawley edges, but it's all along the ground and safe for four.

Jonny Bairstow then unveils a big booming drive outside and the ball is whiskers away from his off stump.

There's plenty happening. England's lead of 152 is looking pretty healthy.

250 is defendable. 300 is a mental barrier so would be nice but you take defending 250.
