Oh, a change for England. Mark Wood is back on.

He'll get two overs at that end. Can he wrap up the innings?

Kuldeep Yadav blocks out a maiden from Shoaib Bashir.

    This is not entertaining.

Some intent from Kuldeep Yadav as he plays a crunching slog-sweep. It is only one though.

The Barmy Army try and rouse England. Four overs to go.

Another single added. The stand is worth 33 now in 13 overs. They could prove to be useful runs.

We're in a phase where the game isn't really going anywhere. I suspect England will be relatively happy if a declaration isn't forthcoming tonight.

There are six overs left in the day now.

Still no intent. Just another single added.

The sun is still shining in Dharamsala. I was expecting some horrid weather this week but we've escaped it so far.

Axar Patel did run out with some gloves and drinks for the batters before this over. Who knows if there was a message with them.

There's no sign of aggression from the pair as Tom Hartley goes for just a single.

Are we in for a declaration this evening? The signs are there.

  9. Ind 455-8published at 111 overs

Jasprit Bumrah is chuckling to himself.

Shoaib Bashir draws the outside edge but it isn't catchable for Joe Root and the ball runs away for four too.

The partnership is 27 now. It's starting to become frustrating.

If you could give aspiring young bowlers one tip on how to improve, what would it be? Ronald from Chichester

I’d say a tip to improve is just to bowl lots. Don’t be afraid to try things and make mistakes, you have to go through that to get better.

Another over ticks by. The spin that brought the four quick wickets seems to have quietened down again.

Is it time for one of the quicks to return and wrap this innings up?

England bowling double spin is allowing them to rattle through the overs at a reasonable rate. We've got 11 left in the day so we might not need the full extra half an hour up to 11:30 GMT.

What advice would you give to a left-arm bowler looking to move from 'village medium' pace to spin? Phil, Cambridge

I’d say you’re looking to spend more time on your front leg and pivot on your front foot up and over when bowling spin compared to bowling medium pace. And know that your best ball might go for six!

Just a single from Tom Hartley's latest over.

I wonder if any part of Rohit Sharma is tempted to declare here.

Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah have put on 15 in five overs for the ninth wicket now. I wouldn't say it's at the frustrating stage for England yet but they'll want to wrap up innings as soon as possible.

Whose Test wicket was the most satisfying to take and why? Louise, Harrogate

I’d say the more you rate a player the more satisfying the wicket in general. It is always satisfying to get guys that play you really well, so getting Rishabh Pant out when he whacked me all over was satisfying. I've enjoyed my battles with Rohit Sharma too.

Screams of catch from the close fielders as Jasprit Bumrah almost skims one straight to mid-on. It drops a couple of yards short. He is slightly deeper than a conventional one maybe.

  18. Ind 435-8published at 105 overs

I don't know how Shoaib Bashir hasn't completed his five-wicket haul in this over.

He bowls an absolute beauty to Kuldeep Yadav and it somehow misses the outside edge and off stump.

The off-spinner then slides one past Jasprit Bumrah's outside edge from round the wicket to end the over.

What are the major differences between yourself and the three young spinners we’ve seen on this tour?

I had the experience of playing on spinning surfaces in county cricket and more cricket behind me which really helped me when touring the sub-continent with England. For them to come in with not much first-class cricket is credit to them and credit to Stokesy for the way he’s managed them.

You know what I've just noticed, Joe Root is wearing his cable-knit sweater but over a short-sleeved shirt.

    Surely that isn't allowed?

It's a no from me anyway.
