Zak Crawley lets one through his legs on the cover boundary to gift Dhruv Jurel an early and preventable boundary.
It's been a long day (or a long seven weeks).

What is your favourite wicket you have taken in Test cricket? James and Noah
My favourite wicket I’ve taken in Test cricket would have to be the last in the Rawalpindi Test. There wasn’t long left as the light was fading and to get over the line in what had been such a good game was a great feeling!

England are chipping away.
Dhruv Jurel joins Ravindra Jadeja.
One more wicket and they're into the bowlers, although Ashwin and Kuldeep have shown through the series that they're more than capable with bat in hand.
Padikkal b Bashir 65 (Ind 403-5)
Bashir has a third and it's a beauty!
He drifts one in to pitch on middle stump and turn to clip off, and gives the big fist-in-the-air celebration that is becoming his trademark.
It's been a tough Test for the youngster so far but he's shown great resilience and his potential is clear to see.
Devdutt Padikkal's fine debut effort comes to an end for 65 from 103 balls.

What's the funniest bit of sledging you've ever heard on a professional cricket field? Henry from Kent
Sledging has gone out the game massively and no-one is funny anymore. You hear stories of great sledging back in the day but it doesn’t happen now so much.
When I walked out at Old Trafford after Headingley in 2019 I came out to bat to a standing ovation and I walked past Lyon and said, "I owe you a beer for this." He said, "You owe me more than one, you owe me a whole case!".
Lead by 185
Joe Root pins Padikkal on the pad but it's going down the leg side. That's the closest thing to a chance that the debutant has given, as far as I can recall.

A single off Shoaib Bashir's over sees India reach the 400 mark.
England should've got there - possibly further - yesterday when they won the toss. It's been a tough lesson for them.

England spinner
Where are your glasses from Headingley 2019 now? In a special trophy cabinet I hope? Marcus, Hindhead
I still have the glasses and glasses cloth from Headingley 2019, don’t you worry about that!
You keep certain stuff from special moments in your career and end up shoving them in a box.
Lead by 181
Joe Root is back as Ben Stokes keeps chopping and changing his bowlers.
Four singles come from the over as the camera finds next man in Dhruv Jurel patiently waiting, fully padded up.
The batting talent never ends. Neither does England's pain.
Lead by 177
Shoaib Bashir channels his inner Jadeja, who he's bowling to, and whizzes through an over in the blink of an eye with just one run from it.
Will India just patiently bat out the session, or get a lead of 200 and go all out?

Who is your favourite England player of all-time? And why?
It would have to be Marcus Trescothick. It pains me to say as I’ve obviously spent a lot of time with Tres now and I don’t like giving him compliments!
But, growing up in Taunton and supporting Somerset it was very special seeing what he did for England and Somerset. When you play with him you realise what a special guy he is and such a team man.
I see he’s running the drinks this game and he will be loving every minute!

The momentum from Sarfaraz's wicket has quickly dissipated.
A misfield from Bashir gifts Padikkal four more past square leg before Tom Hartley loses his length and the batter crunches it past point for another.
Lead by 168
Every one of India's top five has now passed 50.
Only one of England's batters passed 30.
And that says it all, really.
Phil Tufnell
Former England spinner
That shows the confidence of Devdutt Padikkal. It has been a really good knock. he's looked to knock it around and pick up the ones and twos. He's had good foot movement, balance and poise.
Ind 385-4
Well, that's one way to reach a half-century on your Test debut!
Devdutt Padikkal lofts Shoaib Bashir over long-on for six magnificent runs.
Jack Leach
England spinner
Who is the bowler you have learnt the most from? And why?
The bowler I’ve learnt the most from would have to be Jeetan Patel. I played a lot against him in county cricket and really looked up to him and to get to work with him now is very special. Not sure he’d say the same thing!
Lead by 161
Double spin with the new-ish ball as Tom Hartley continues, just two runs coming from it.
Ben Stokes has bowled five overs. I'm not sure we'll get too many more out of him but there's no point in trying to predict what he'll do!
Jack Leach
England spinner
Which current spinner do you admire the most? And why?
I would say Nathan Lyon for the career he has had as a finger spinner in Australia. It is the way he’s adapted to be effective all round the world.
Lead by 159
Brilliant from Bashir, getting good bounce from his height which led to the ball hitting Sarfaraz quite high on the bat.
England started the last session with wickets before it was taken away from them again.
There's little respite for them, though, as Ravindra Jadeja comes to the middle.
Sarfaraz c Root b Bashir 56 (Ind 376-4)
And he starts pretty well!
Sarfaraz Khan has played a fine innings but is just looking to get his eye in after the break. He prods tentatively at Bashir's first ball and the ball plops nicely into Joe Root's waiting hands at slip.
Again, England start the session perfectly.
