Paul Conroy has been doing it for years for Galway and he got himself into a good scoring position and curled one over with the left foot.

    Cillian McDaid!

He comes to the party with a terrific score from the wing, which has stirred the Galway fans. They still believe.

    Aaron Kernan
    Former Armagh defender on GAAGO

The amount of chances that Galway are getting, they're just not clipping them in and they're leaving themselves just a bit more open then at the back because they are starting to commit more people forward.

    Dublin 0-12 Galway 0-9

Shane Walsh landed an important score to keep Galway in touch.

They need to play error-free football from here on in, you feel, if they're to keep this competitive to the end.

As I type that, Con O'Callaghan pulls the trigger in front of the Hill and almost scores the opening goal.

    It's gone out for a '45'.

Oh that was a bad wide by Paul Conroy, who is normally such a go-to man.

And of course it's punished by Dublin with Ciaran Kilkenny scoring from close range.

Shane Walsh is manfully playing on but he kicks a wide.

Pleasing from a Galway perspective that Shane Walsh has come out for the second half.

Cillian McDaid was subdued for most of the first half but that's a fine point to kickstart Galway's second-half challenge.

    Michael Murphy
Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner on GAAGO

I thought Dublin were really good first half. Galway did well to hang in there considering how impressive Dublin were. I think there was a bit of sloppy play from Dublin towards the end, but up until that Dublin looked really good.

Shane Walsh, who limped off at the end, could potentially be a worry for Galway because they need him out there as they have shown in the first half.

Some of the points scored have been of the highest quality but unfortunately Dublin aren't meeting a Galway team at the peak of its powers.

Despite carrying injuries, Galway to their credit decided to go in fully loaded yet Kelly is already off and Walsh was struggling before the break.

How many blows can they absorb before the knockout comes?

  12. Derry's team spirit 'not where it needs to be'published at 19:04 British Summer Time 29 June

Kerry v Derry, Croke Park, Sunday 30 June, 15:15 BST

All-Ireland winner Kieran McKeever believes Derry's "team spirit" is "not where it needs to be" ahead of Sunday's quarter-final against Kerry but has backed the players to find another level.

Having claimed the Division One title in impressive fashion, Derry's summer was temporarily derailed following defeats by Donegal, Galway and Armagh, with Mickey Harte moved to dismiss suggestions of disharmony in his side following a vital win over Westmeath.

And while the Oak Leafers handled the pressure of the Castlebar cauldron to beat Mayo in a penalty shootout in last week's preliminary quarter-final, 1993 Sam Maguire winner McKeever believes further improvement is required.

  13. Donegal resurgence has been 'impressive' - Murphypublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 29 June

Donegal v Louth, Croke Park, Sunday 30 June, 13:15 BST

All-Ireland winning captain Michael Murphy says Donegal will be taking it one match at a time but will have belief they can lift the Sam Maguire.

Donegal will be heavy favourites to reach the semi-finals after being drawn with Louth in the last eight.

After winning the Ulster Championship and earning promotion back to Division One, it has been a remarkable first season for Donegal under the returning Jim McGuinness.

Galway will have a chance to assess Shane Walsh's fitness levels during their most important half-time interval of the season.

They have withstood a plethora of injuries and some bad luck this season but it will take something heroic if they're to pull off an upset here.

At the break it's hard to see anything other than a Dublin victory.

    Back with you soon.
