  1. Armagh changespublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-7 Roscommon 0-8

Rian O'Neill is taken off. He had just given the ball away and obviously the Armagh bench had seen enough.

Conor Cox scores from a placed ball for Roscommon, 0-4 from him today.

  2. 'Armagh need to go for it'published at 17:12 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-7 Roscommon 0-7

    Michael Murphy
Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner on GAAGO

Roscommon are just hanging in there.

Armagh are keeping it tight, and keeping Roscommon in it, they need to try and go win it now.

  3. Soupy magicpublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-7 Roscommon 0-7

Campbell nails a beauty from distance, his second point since coming on at half time.

He's closer to the end of his career than the start, and Soupy may well retire without us ever finding out why he so often makes his greatest impact in games as a substitute.

  4. Postpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-6 Roscommon 0-7

Dylan Ruane kicks a point after Rian O'Neill is turned over on Roscommon's '45'.

It could potentially have been a good goal chance with Armagh scrambling in defence, but the point ends Armagh's run of three in a row.

  5. Better from Roscommonpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-6 Roscommon 0-6

    Michael Murphy
Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner on GAAGO

Roscommon will be happy, they've brought a lot more aggression into the second half.

And for Armagh, you wouldn't even notice that they have the extra man on the attack.

  6. Postpublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-6 Roscommon 0-6

Oisin Conaty has been one of Armagh's most threatening forward this summer and he kicks a great score on the run. It's raised the voices of the Armagh fans.

And Stefan Campbell has followed it up with another score and suddenly Armagh have restored their three-point lead.

    Armagh 1-4 Roscommon 0-6

Barry McCambridge takes a mark and nails it. His personally tally is now 1-2 today.

That was a much-needed score for Armagh.

Already there is more intensity and bite to this second half than there was in the entire opening half.

  9. Good re-start for Roscommonpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-6

    Michael Murphy
Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner on GAAGO

Really good score from Roscommon, nearly identical to the one before hand.

    What a start for them.

  10. Roscommon are level!published at 17:00 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-6

Well, well. Dylan Ruane has followed up with a fifth point in a row for Roscommon either side of the break.

  11. Armagh make one half-time changepublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-5

Eoin McCormack scores within 30 seconds of the restart!

For all Armagh's dominance, they now just lead by a point and Kieran McGeeney has made one change at the break with Stefan 'Soupy' Campbell coming on for man marker Peter McGrane.

So with an extra man, Armagh have replaced a defender with a forward. Hopefully that's a sign they are going to play on the front foot in this half.

  12. Let's dance!published at 16:57 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-4

David Bowie's hit song booms around Croke Park as the teams run back on.

    We are underway again.

  13. Conditions an issue for Roscommonpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 29 June

    HT: Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-4

    Cian O'Sullivan
8-time All-Ireland winner with Dublin speaking on GAAGO

I think the key feature of the first half is the turnovers that Armagh have got off Roscommon and I think their defensive strategy is working really well. They're getting bodies back, inviting Roscommon on.

Normally Roscommon might be able to switch, reverse, go through a couple of phases and maybe even work a free but the turnovers are coming so easy in these conditions and they're coming quick, and that's giving Armagh their platform for quick counter attacks.

That's been the difference for the two sides here.

  14. Current All-Ireland schedule 'exhausting' - Murphypublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh v Roscommon (16:00 BST)

Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner Michael Murphy says he would keep the current format but tweak the competition's "exhausting" schedule.

The first round of group stage matches took place on 18 May and the final is scheduled for 28 July.

For Derry, Galway, Roscommon and Louth, who had to go through the extra preliminary quarter-final, that could mean seven matches in the space of 10 weeks if they were to reach the decider.

Armagh, Dublin, Kerry and Donegal had a extra week of rest ahead of the quarter-finals on Saturday and Sunday after winning their respective groups.

"I would give another opportunity to the current system as it is, but we definitely need more breathing space between games," Murphy told BBC Sport NI.

  17. Armagh well placedpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-4

That Cox free just before the break, will make Roscommon feel a little better about themselves but they have it all to do in the second half.

Playing poorly, forwards mis-firing, lacking intensity and after Ruaidhri Fallon's dismissal, now having to play the entire second half with 14 players.

Armagh won't be too happy that they are not further ahead, because they have been the side dictating the terms. Their finishing has not been good either, though the wet conditions are clearly hampering both sides.

It's been a dull opening half, but Armagh are looking well placed to advance to their first All-Ireland semi-final in 19 years.

Back with you in a few minutes.

    Matt Gault

Well that's a real gut punch for Roscommon.

Ruaidhri Fallon was booked earlier for a late challenge on Tiernan Kelly and knew he was in trouble after that bodycheck on Rory Grugan.

The Rossies are only two points behind but this is a real challenge now.

  19. 'Potentially really harsh'published at 16:41 British Summer Time 29 June

    Armagh 1-3 Roscommon 0-3

    Michael Murphy
Former Donegal captain and All-Ireland winner on GAAGO

It didn't look to be shoulder to shoulder, it looked to be a shoulder to front.

Potentially really harsh on that one, from my regard.
