    Well. It was lively.

Congratulations to Ilnur Zakarin on his first Tour stage victory - the Russian looked like he was one pedal rotation away from expiring. Gritty stuff.

As for Chris Froome - I need to go and find a way to write about his dominance without repeating everything I've said so many times before.

Team Sky's Geraint Thomas on ITV4: "It was a hot day. It was a fast start. When Nibali raised it towards the top of the penultimate climb I felt like I was overheating. I don't really know what happened up front. The strength in depth is massive for us - if someone is having a bad day there are three other guys feeling good."

  3. 'We are happy'published at 16:13 British Summer Time 20 July 2016

Team Sky's Mikel Nieve on ITV4: "It was a pretty good day, no? At the beginning it felt good. Chris has take out more of an advantage. We are happy."

Bauke Mollema, second in the rankings, is the big loser of the stage as he finally crosses. He may not have lost enough time to allow Adam Yates into second, though.

We'll get an update on that.

  11. Quintana out of itpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 20 July 2016

Adam Yates has dropped Nairo Quintana - unbelievable. The Colombian sees four riders leave him for dead. He's gone. He's absolutely gone.

As it stands, Chris Froome will extend his lead over the three men behind him.

Adam Yates is keeping with Nairo Quintana. But they are quite a bit behind Froome.

Zakarin is wobbling. This is painful to watch. His jersey is unzipped. He looks like a forlorn individual.

His team car is behind him, almost willing him on.

Now he tries to zip up the jersey. It's tricky, but he manages it and wins the stage for Katusha.

He wobbles over the line and two blokes run out to stop him falling.
