Andrew Harvey: I support @TeamSky because they got me into cycling. I also own a pair of @teamjltcondor bib shorts to go with my Condor bike

Sam Levey: There are teams I prefer Sky, OBE; but it's been more about the rider for me. Jensie, Cancellara, Wiggo, Cav, Kennaugh et al

Richard McConnell: Riders like Cav, Sagan, Cancellara, Voeckler bring so much entertainment. Froome has up to now been lost in Sky machine.

But before that, there's an intermediate sprint under way.

Brice Feillu doesn't look too fussed about competing in it, as he sprays a camera man with water.

Before we rattle up the big old climbs, let's give you a reminder of how the yellow jersey standings look.

Today is a definite opportunity to bit into Chris Froome's lead - but does anybody want to and, even if they were up for it, can they actually get away from Team Sky.

Here's some other news you may have missed from rest day, amid the Mark Cavendish send off.

Peter Kennaugh has from the British Olympic road race team, allowing Steve Cummings to be called up.

Kennaugh broke his collar bone earlier in the season and believes he is not in good enough form to compete at Rio.

"I've spoken to Steve and said if I were him I'd be gutted not to be involved," Kennaugh has told ITV4."He's going now and I'm happy for him."

The BBC Radio 5 live team have bumped into everyone's favourite German-cyclist-turned-TV-personality Jens Voigt at the finish line.

    He's busting a move, I believe.

The breakaway group slalom down a beautiful, lush green descent in this beautiful part of Switzerland.

Take in the scenery while you can, boys, it's going to get tougher.

Daniel Eckersley: Hardly, teams - and team names in particular - in cycling are often far too transient.

Tim Snowdon: Watched #letour for last 27 years. Always wondered if I'd live to see a British winner. Now seen 3 in last 4 years #TeamSky

Expect Peter Sagan to stick around at the front for the time being, as the next stop is an intermediate sprint - so he can add to his green jersey lead.

    Then the big climbs begin.

Roverstalk: Be honest, we all follow the Cav wherever he goes. Probably a long way behind him at that.

Welcome to the land of Switzer.

    Also known as Switzerland.

It's the first time a Tour stage has occurred wholly in the country, and it shouldn't disappoint.

Things gets a bit more serious as the stage moves on - a category one climb up to Col de la Forclaz followed by an absolute whopper to finish us off up to Finhaut-Emosson.

If we don't get attacks and an exploding peloton on a day like today, then we never will.

Rafal Majka is once again the first man to the summit, this time at Col des Mosses.

This time he's followed by Pantano Jarlinson. They pick up two points and one point respectively.

That's the two smaller climbs out of the way - so let's take a look at the stage profile and consider the biggies on the way.

A note from earlier in the day. There was a crash right at the start of the stage and Gorka Izagirre came off badly - he's quit the Tour.

Also, a few moments ago, Tsgabu Grmay came off in the feed zone. he seems to be soldiering on.

We still have 11 men at the front of the race, with Peter Sagan and Rafal Majka among them.

Just down the road are Thomas Voeckler and Greg van Avermaet - they're 11secs back.

A whole 9mins 34secs adrift is the peloton, going casually along with Chris Froome and his rivals.

Former GB cyclist and BBC Radio 5 live analyst

British Team Sky fans I would imagine want a British lead rider. But there are quite a few French and Italian Team Sky supporters. When you drive to the finish there are a lot of Sky fans, but they don't all have a British flag.
