    Stage 15 winner Magnus Cort: "It’s amazing, it's what I’ve been dreaming of even before I started riding a bike. It’s my first Tour de France and I’m so glad to win. I have to thank my team a lot and especially Michael Valgren in the finale.

    "It was perfect – my sport directors believed in me and picked out this stage for me.

    "It inspired me Omar Fraile winning yesterday and I’m very happy."

  5. Geraint Thomas rolls over the line at the back of the Team Sky train and retains the yellow jersey.

    No changes on the GC today - Dan Martin launched a long-distance solo attack but was brought back on the descent.

    Thomas takes a lead of 1'39'' over Chris Froome into the second rest day, with Tom Dumoulin a further 11 seconds adrift.

    The peloton finally arrived in Carcassonne 13'10'' behind stage winner Magnus Cort.

    Breaking

    Magnus Cort takes his first Tour de France stage victory with a dominant sprint win from a three-man group.

    The Dane led it out and easily held off Ion Izagirre and Bauke Mollema.

    Astana played that perfectly in the run-in to take their second stage win in as many days - Michael Valgren ensuring his team-mate made the selection and shutting down every attack behind.

    Mollema swings to the front, followed by Izagirre and Cort Nielsen.

    This trio are working together for now.

    This is looking ideal for Magnus Cort Nielsen.

    Bauke Mollema and Ion Izagirre have just 3km to drop the Dane.
