    Right that's me done.

There's only another ascent of the Galibier, followed by the climb of the Col de la Croix de Fer, and then the famous 21 hairpins leading up to Alpe d'Huez to come on Thursday.

And we've got a new man in yellow after a dramatic Alpine stage that saw the seemingly unbeatable Tadej Pogacar crack and Jonas Vingegaard take top spot in general classification.

    That's all in our report.

We shall see you for more of the same tomorrow. Take care.

Race leader Jonas Vingegaard speaking after winning stage 11, was asked if he could believe he had taken the yellow jersey. He replied: "No. It is really incredible. It is hard for me to put words on. This is what I always dreamt of a stage in the Tour and now the yellow jersey. It is incredible.

"We made a plan from the start of the day and obviously you could see what it was. We wanted to make it a super-hard race. We thought it was in my favour and in the favour of Primoz (Roglic) and I took a lot of time but I would never have done that without my team-mates. I want to thank all of them. They were all incredibly strong. I would never have done this without them.

"On the Galibier he [Tadej Pogacar] was really strong and he dropped everyone else and I was a bit insecure if he was going full or not. And then on the last climb I was thinking 'if I don't try I am not going to win'.

"Of course second place on the GC is a nice result but I tried this last year and now at least I want to try and go for the victory and that is what I did. Luckily it succeeded today and now I have the yellow jersey so I will keep on fighting for the yellow for Paris."
