    *Gary Anderson 3-4 Mensur Suljovic

Both men almost take out big finishes - 120 for Suljovic and 145 for Ando - but both miss the doubles.

Mensur cleans up on double 10 to move in front.

It's not been a classic so far, the final needs a spark from somewhere.

    Gary Anderson 3-3 Mensur Suljovic*

    We're back on serve!

It's a really scrappy leg, but Mensur is down to a double first. It's double 14 of course and he finds the centre of the lipstick first dart.

No maximums from either man so far - that surprises me.

  3. 116 finish for Suljovicpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

    *Gary Anderson 3-2 Mensur Suljovic

    Brilliant from Suljovic - a 116 finish.

Boy did he need that! Treble 20, single 20, double 18, clean as a whistle.

That's Mensur all over - a superb outshot from absolutely nowhere.

    Gary Anderson 3-1 Mensur Suljovic*

    14-darter for Ando.

Suljovic can't find his scoring boots in leg four and Anderson has time to take out double 6.

Mensur is averaging less than 85. He needs to up that and quickly.

Kieran Peters: I would stand up since I love the darts, but I'm in work while watching, so would look a bit strange!

    *Gary Anderson 2-1 Mensur Suljovic

That's a much better leg from The Gentle to get his first on the board.

He hits 134, 140 and 171 to leave 12 before eventually taking out a tricky double 3.

Big hold for the big Austrian.

    Gary Anderson 2-0 Mensur Suljovic*

It's not been a rip-roaring start to this final - but it's Gary Anderson who holds an early advantage.

The world number two finishes on his favourite double top to make it two zip.

    Suljovic hasn't got going yet.

  8. Anderson breakspublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

    *Gary Anderson 1-0 Mensur Suljovic

Plenty of nerves on show in this opening leg, and it's Gary Anderson who breaks.

Suljovic misses three darts at a double, Anderson also misses three, but eventually lands double 5.

    Gary Anderson v Mensur Suljovic*

Mensur will throw first. If he holds his throw 11 times he'll be champ. Simple.

That's the biggest smile I've seen all weekend from Mensur.

    It really is some story.

He walks on to Tina Turner's 'Simply the Best' - the crowd love him.

Mensur Suljovic has been the story, but now he's got to bookend this story with a win otherwise we'll just say it's another major final he's lost.

Gary Anderson has won major titles around the world. He wants another one because he knows the clock is ticking on his career too.

    Gary Anderson v Mensur Suljovic

I'm not sure it's the final anyone would have expected, but Mensur Suljovic has been immense from start to finish.

Gary Anderson has got better and better since his 10-3 pummeling by the Austrian on Saturday.

We're about five minutes away from the pair taking to the stage.

    Gary Anderson v Mensur Suljovic

There will be a break of about 15 minutes before the final.

It's a repeat of the match from the group stage yesterday which saw Suljovic thump Anderson 10-3.

I'm not sure it'll be quite as easy for the big Austrian this time around.

"It held itself well to the end. It was a bit silly at the end but from Phil Taylor's point of view, he was ahead then lost eight legs on the spin.

"The damage was done there, he had too much to do."

  20. 'I hadn't got the energy'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

    Phil Taylor 6-11 Gary Anderson

    Phil Taylor tells BBC Sport:

"I did enjoy it I just hadn't got the energy levels to beat him. He's younger and fitter.

"If anybody I want to take over from me apart from Adrian, it's Gary.

"I'm struggling to stand up at the minute - it's so hard.

"It's great to play one game in a day, but this is a grueller for me now. Age is a horrible thing to bear."
