    First blood Barney.

The big Dutchman misses three at tops to give Suljovic a sniff but the Austrian can't find his favourite double 14.

RvB nails double 10 to take the opener.

Mensur Suljovic v Raymond van Barneveld

And here comes the Austrian to Tina Turner's 'Simply the Best'.

Such a great tune. Mensur has the look of someone who's just happy to be there - but he's a serious competitor and a mighty fine chucker.

It'll be Barney to throw first...

Barney is on his way to the stage first.

He looks so relaxed as he has done all weekend.

Anyone fancy a Van Barneveld Taylor final?

First up it's surprise semi-finalist Mensur Suljovic against five-time champion of the world Raymond van Barneveld.

Suljovic was awesome in the group stage, winning all three of his matches.

Barney was also in superb form. This could go all the way...

  11. 'I can still play the game'published at 16:23 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

Michael van Gerwen 9-10 Phil Taylor

    Phil Taylor told BBC Sport:

"I can play better than that and Michael can, too. I played his game. He winds people up and so can I. He gives it large when he goes ahead and I thought I can do that, too.

"He's world number one and world champion so it just shows I can still play the game.

"Gary Anderson will hit loads of 180s [in their semi-final]. He got through by the skin of his teeth and I'd put money on him to win it but I'll give him the game of his life."

Michael van Gerwen 9-10 Phil Taylor

The board is down and Phil Taylor makes no delay in signing it.

He beats MVG with a tremendous 65 checkout and goes through to the semi-finals.

Van Gerwen, to his credit, threw a whopping 10 maximums in that match and bested The Power's average, but it just wasn't enough and he's out of the competition.

Michael van Gerwen 9-9 Phil Taylor*

It's down to the last leg and credit to Michael van Gerwen for not giving up after Taylor won an eighth leg.

He throws a 50 checkout and he's still in the match.

*Michael van Gerwen 8-9 Phil Taylor

A third maximum from The Power in this match and he's back on top.

He pins double tops and he's one leg away from victory against the world number one.

  16. Postpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

Michael van Gerwen 8-8 Phil Taylor*

He might be out but that's one hell of a checkout from MVG.

25, T20 and double 16 for a 117 checkout. Pity it's not going to be enough.

    Breaking

*Michael van Gerwen 7-8 Phil Taylor

Another maximum from MVG and he's into double figures of 180s so far in this match.

But defending champion Taylor will go through to the knockout rounds after winning his eighth leg of this match and MVG is out of the 2017 Champions League of Darts.

Michael van Gerwen 7-7 Phil Taylor*

Pressure? What pressure? MVG levels the match...again.

He throws a stunning T13 and gets double 16 with his second try and he's back in this match.

  19. Postpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

*Michael van Gerwen 6-7 Phil Taylor

Another maximum from MVG but it's not enough to win the leg.

Phil Taylor throws double tops at the first time of asking and now van Gerwen must win every remaining leg to stay in the competition.

  20. Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 17 September 2017

Michael van Gerwen 6-6 Phil Taylor*

Now that's a big leg from Michael van Gerwen. He holds his throw to level the scores at 6-6 and he's going need some more of this sort of form.

He pins double five to seize the 12th leg.
