"Fantastic play from Arsenal, three minutes ago I was criticising them for not having the attacking intent but that was two fantastic goals in two minutes. We've waited 72 minutes for that bit of play from Arsenal, they failed to get in behind Swansea for so long in this game."
Around 20 minutes remain in the 19:45 kick-offs - and leaders Leicester are still behind at home to Yeovil.
Burnley lead Doncaster 1-0 and will go two points behind the Foxes as it stands.
At the bottom, Barnsley lead Reading 3-1 - a 20:00 GMT kick-off there - so Millwall are set to go to the bottom as they are losing 3-1 to Birmingham.
Two in a minute! The momentum swings round on a sixpence as Arsenal burst down the left straight from the kick-off through Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud meets his cross in the middle to relieved cheers all around the Emirates Stadium.
Almost 3-0 but Tim Krul makes a one-handed save to prevent Romelu Lukaku from scoring his second of the night.
Arsenal are back in it . Kieran Gibbs skips by Angel Rangel and flips up a cross for Lukas Podolski to get his leg up and volley home from just outside the six-yard box.
Yaya Toure is pushed on after Javi Garcia's introduction and his cut-back is inviting for Fernandinho. The Brazilian punts over the bar from 20 yards though.
Manuel Pellegrini reacts by shoring up midfield with Javi Garcia on to help out in the engine room while Jesus Navas takes an early rest.
Marouane Fellaini, who has been walking the tightrope since being booked in the first half, has been replaced by Antonio Valencia. David Moyes is throwing attacking players at the problem, but sheer weight of numbers in the final third is not doing the trick.
Steve Davison:, external Toon 0-2 down tonight but the season ended when we hit 40pts. Such is the lack of ambition from mngr and owner.
Narek Alaverdayn:, external How can you get the champions, spend £65m and create a team without any imagination, creativity, motivation?
Sam Woods:, external United's slump certainly provides one positive for England fans. Rooney getting plenty of practice playing in a poor side...
Fabricio Coloccini heads well over the top and Newcastle have not posed any serious threat to the Everton goal since the break. Twenty minutes to go.
Michu's race is run. Nathan Dyer comes on for the Spaniard who is making his first start since 15 December. Michu looked understandably short of full match fitness.
Gareth Barry goes into the book for a foul on Yoan Gouffran, but Everton are looking comfortable as they laze back on a two-goal cushion.

"What can Moyes do? Bring Ashley Young on? Welbeck isn't having an influence, Kagawa has come on and can't get the ball. United just have so many problems against the top sides."
Jitters in the Manchester United defence and Jesus Navas's low cross skims into the six-yard box. Rio Ferdinand takes charge and stabs it behind for a corner and gives the thumbs-up to his team-mates. But they are struggling back there.
Arsenal fans are growing frustrated by their team trying to walk the ball in and when Tomas Rosicky does shoot from the edge of the area, he is well wide and high. At the other end, Michu is furious with himself after he heads over with time and space to hit the target.
Edin Dzeko's first goal wasn't the fastest in Manchester derby history by the way. George Best holds that record, scoring after 38 seconds in March 1968.
BBC Sport chief football writer Phil McNulty at Old Trafford:
"Manchester City's fans are doing the Poznan while United's supporters are left to chant in defiance in the face of superior opposition once more at Old Trafford as they did when Liverpool won here recently."
Jimmy Gray:, external Now Bayern have won the league they can just rest players for the Champions league. Another reason for United to be worried
Cliff B:, external Dare we dream of Champions League football? Arsenal imploding and Spurs have Sherwood as boss. It's possible!
Jamie Ewers:, external Leeds will end up sacking Brian McDermott soon - for more than 24hours anyway!

"I'm very surprised at that substitution (Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain off, Lukas Podolski on). He was Arsenal's most potent player in the first half. He's the only one who looked a threat and he's the only one who looked interested. I really can't understand why he's been brought off, it can only be due to a knock."
