Manchester United have racked up some serious miles as they chased their way back into the game. Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata have been detained by defensive duties for much, when the home fans would prefer to see them toiling away in the final third. Here is Rooney's first-half touch graphic, followed by Mata's.

"Give United credit, they've stuck at it as City could have been two or three up. You have to say City have been the better side. United have come back into it but some of that is because City have come off the gas."

Is there any way back for Man Utd?

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2014

BBC Sport chief football writer Phil McNulty at Old Trafford:

"Manchester City could have been out of sight in the first 20 minutes but they have taken their foot off the gas a little and given Manchester United hope as the half wore on. City still look strong in midfield and once again a fine save from United keeper David de Gea, this time from Edin Dzeko, may prove crucial."

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2014

Fernandinho goes into the book for a cynical body-check that sends Wayne Rooney sprawling, and Rooney is fortunate not to join him as he jumps in two-footed a minute later.

Bayern Munich surely aren't going to mess up are they? The title celebrations are under way among their fans when Brazilian defender Rafinha brings down Adrian Ramos inside the penalty area. Ramos picks himself to pull a goal back for Hertha, who have been out-played.

Bayern will still win the Bundesliga if the score stays like this. But all of a sudden the runaway leaders are facing a nervous final 20 minutes.

And Arsenal are jeered by some of their own supporters as they head for the tunnel.

  10. Postpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2014

Jonjo Shelvey has got away with a sly little kick at Kieran Gibbs after the pair come together. No need to get worked up with his side comfortable in a 1-0 lead.

John Stones is in the wars but he does not look too bothered despite a nasty-looking gash above his left eye following an accidental collision with Luuk de Jong. Made of tough stuff that Yorkshireman.

  13. Three minutes of injury timepublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2014

Manchester United win a corner as Danny Welbeck twists Martin Demichelis one way then the other, but Joe Hart is out to clear the set-piece with two big fists behind the set-piece. Three minutes of time added on at the end of the first half.

A chance at Arsenal - and it goes to the home team. The Gunners have struggled so far but go close to levelling only for Santi Cazorla to see his strike from 14 yards well saved by Michel Vorm.

"Arsenal's build-up play has been excellent but when they're in that final third they just go to pieces. I would love to see someone go in to that area and help Olivier Giroud out. If someone ran in off Giroud's shoulder and in behind Swansea, Arsenal would see a difference. Swansea have soaked everything up so far and it's been relatively comfortable for them."

"It's a good spell for United. Rafael is getting forward, Evra has been getting forward on the other flank. Mata tries to bend one in the top corner, it's not troubling Joe Hart but it's better from United."

They were on their feet in the Stretford End. But Wayne Rooney swipes thin air as Rafael's low cross skids past him, before Juan Mata controls and wraps a curling shot high and wide.

Newcastle have reacted well to going behind, but, without Loic Remy, still look short of the cutting edge. Tim Howard drops on Mike Williamson's tame shot from 15 yards, before an ambitious shot from Chieck Tiote flies wide.

Bayern are dominating against Hertha Berlin

Bayern Munich will win the Bundesliga title with victory at Hertha Berlin tonight. Coming up to the hour mark in that game, they are 2-0 up and totally dominant.

Bayern, remember, play Man Utd in the Champions League next week. Good luck with that one.
