"A good save from Tim Howard, but again with a chance shortly afterwards from Valencia ball into the box nobody gambled and tried to get into the box and get on the end of it."
How have Everton not scored more today? Michael Carrick plays a horrendous pass in his own penalty area but Kevin Mirallas can't capitalise and his shot is deflected over.
Lewis Osman:, external Though David Moyes has had a poor first season, fundamentally the Man United players aren't good enough.
Brendan Bennett:, external I wonder what Sir Alex Ferguson genuinely makes of all this? I really hope he's got one more autobiography in him.
Josh Dhillon:, external Moyes can't take all the blame, after the season we've had, the players are still barely putting any effort in. Need new men.
Into the final five minutes and Manchester United briefly threaten to flicker into life but Tim Howard makes a point-blank save to deny Wayne Rooney. He's always there when you need him.

"It's all very comfortable for Everton now. Manchester United just can't get the ball off the home side. You sense that United's players just can't wait for this season to be over now."
Trying to mark Seamus Coleman and Kevin Mirallas down the Everton right must be like trying to stop water pouring out of a sieve. It's as though Manchester United have given up trying to plug the many holes down their left side. Instead Darren Fletcher just barges over the Belgian Mirallas but the free-kick comes to very little.

"Everton are just so good on the counter attack."
It's just not running for Steven Naismith today as he checks inside and his low shot is tipped wide by David De Gea. A quality save - that was arrowing into the bottom corner.
Tom in Leeds: Didn't take long for the 'David Moyes out' brigade to fire up again after a defeat. Give Moyes a summer - if he gets it wrong again then they are vindicated.
Calum in Aberdeen: Kagawa and Nani need not return next season once they predictably get subbed. Massively let down Moyes today.
Paul in Milton Keynes: Moyes keeps saying "we're slowly changing things" I'm not sure he really knows what his plan is, however he's got Giggsy and Phil Neville coaching, players who know the United set-up inside out. There's obviously something amiss, unhappy players? What's the atmosphere in the dressing room nowadays?
3-0...surely? No! Kevin Mirallas drills a low cross into the box and Steven Naismith skies it over the bar.
The game is meandering now and David Moyes has one final opportunity to change all that as he sends on Danny Welbeck for Shinji Kagawa.

"Ross Barkley has been a bit isolated out on the left, and Roberto Martinez has got Leon Osman on just to tighten things up for the final 15 minutes or so."
Ross Barkley, who has had a frustrating afternoon, is given an early breather as Leon Osman come on in his place. Twenty minutes to go.

"Manchester United still haven't put Tim Howard under any real pressure. Has he had a save to make apart from that Kagawa shot?"
The worrying thing for Manchester United is that they are struggling to cause any problems of an Everton defence which is distinctly second-choice down the middle. There's no Phil Jagielka today while Sylvain Distin has gone off injured. John Stones and Antolin Alcaraz are on in their place.

"There doesn't really look any outlets for United. Their first options seems to go backwards and that's where United have problems. They just haven't got enough players running in behind and creating opportunities."
Joe in Leicester: John Stones is young, talented, composed and can play-right back or centre-back. Just a better Phil Jones.
Matt in Scarborough: If Chris Smalling makes it to Brazil and John Stones doesn't, it will be a travesty.
Todd in Worcester: If people are talking about John Stones to Brazil, what about Harry Kane? Full of desire and in form.
Is Wayne Rooney getting frustrated? He lunges into a challenge on James McCarthy, leaving the Everton midfielder in a crumpled heap on the deck. He gets away without punishment though.
Summing up Manchester United's afternoon perfectly, the ball lands at the feet of Darren Fletcher on the edge of the area but the midfielder is in more danger of hitting the corner flag with his shot than the back of the net.
