Josh from Cambridge: As a Cambridge fan I wouldn't change the play-offs, love the excitement and adrenaline it gives you. Although I would change the system so two teams go up from the Conference into League Two.

  10. How far can they go?published at 19:24 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

England's 23-man squad has the ability to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, former captain Alan Shearer has said.

Shearer said striker Wayne Rooney "needs to have a big tournament for people to speak about him in the same terms as Ronaldo and Messi".

How far do you think England will go in Brazil?

  11. Team Newspublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

BBC Sport's Ian Woodcock at Bootham Crescent: "As expected both teams stick with the line-ups that would have played on Saturday. That means York City make one change from the side that drew with Scunthorpe last time out, with winger Will Hayhurst coming in for midfielder Lewis Montrose. On-loan Charlton keeper Nick Pope has kept 13 clean sheets in the Minstermen's 17-match unbeaten run.

"It's much more of a changed side for Fleetwood's Cod Army. Mark Roberts, Antonio Sarcevic, David Ball and Iain Hume all come in the starting XI for Graham Alexander's men. Veteran striker Jon Parkin drops to the bench."

  12. Villain Defoe?published at 19:19 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

    BBC Radio 5 live

Former Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe says he is "devastated" to miss out on Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad. The 31-year-old, who moved to Major League Soccer club Toronto FC at the end of February, tells BBC Radio 5 live: "It's hard to even find words to describe how I am feeling.

"I felt I had done enough. I feel sharper than ever and I have been on form and scored goals. To miss out, I feel devastated. I didn't really feel I had to sell myself to the manager.

"I had a situation at the 2012 Euros where I lost my dad and I had decision to make. But I chose to go back out to Poland and Ukraine because I know how important it is to play for your country."

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at Loftus Road

"Pre-match sunshine has made way for torrential rain and showers but that can't dampen the spirit of the QPR fans who arrive at Loftus Road tonight full of expectancy.

"Their star-studded squad is just one victory away from a trip to Wembley to take on Derby in the play-off final. Wigan however, will be confident and having played four times at the home of English football in two seasons it will hold no fears for Uwe Rosler's side if they can get there. To do that though they must beat QPR for the first time this season having lost one and drawn the other."

  14. England squad announcementpublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 12 May 2014

There may be no York, Fleetwood, QPR or Wigan players in the mixer but I'm sure it's just about still of interest: England have named their World Cup squad.

Ross Barkley and Luke Shaw head the headlines as Roy Hodgson steered clear of any Theo Walcott-style shenanigans.

    Here's the full squad:

Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Celtic), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City).

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Luke Shaw (Southampton), Chris Smalling (Manchester United).

Midfielders: Ross Barkley (Everton), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Southampton), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal).

Attackers: Rickie Lambert (Southampton), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Danny Welbeck (Manchester United).

BBC Sport's Nabil Hassan at Loftus Road

"Loftus Road is the setting as QPR and Wigan do battle as they bid to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt. They now know that Derby will be their opponents at Wembley in the play-off final with the second-leg of this tie evenly poised at 0-0.

"History is against Rangers though and they are aiming to break a 16-year hoodoo by winning the Championship play-offs. The side finishing fourth in the second tier has not won promotion to the Premier League since Charlton in 1997-98 but with home advantage QPR's star-studded squad will be confident of reaching Wembley and ending that statistic."
