"No goals but three times the ball has been in the back of the net. Twice from Mexico forward Giovani dos Santos and one of those appeared to be a very bad decision. Once again refereeing decision here are the talking point."

"The Mexican manager is still going on at the fourth official following those two disallowed goals. The referee has just come over to have a word. Miguel Herrera had every right to say his piece as far as I'm concerned. That's another howler from the referee. That was a penalty - no doubt about it. These officials shouldn't take charge of another World Cup game."
Cameroon survive again as the lively Giovani dos Santos goes down just inside the area under a challenge from Aurelien Chedjou. Nothing given and Mexico coach Miguel Herrera is becoming increasingly irate on the touchline.
Mexico appear to have embarked on a slight change of tack lately, with players trying to feed the ball into the middle of the box rather than cross from out wide. Rafael Marquez curls a low ball into the area for Giovani dos Santos but his first touch is poor and Cameroon clear.
Paul Aguilar slices open the Cameroon defence with a fine ball into the area for Oribe Peralta. The striker is not quite quick enough though and Charles Itandje is straight out to scoop up the ball.
Cameroon win a free-kick midway inside the Mexico half and Aztecs coach Miguel Herrera takes advantage of the brief break in play to grab a word with the linesman who has ruled out two goals for his side now. To his credit, he looks pretty calm when exchanging words. Alex Song's free-kick, meanwhile, is a poor one and Mexico clear. The rain is absolutely teeming down now.
Josh, Norwich: I thought the officials chosen for World Cups were supposed to be the best/most consistent in the world?
Former England defender Rio Ferdinand:, external One-and-a-bit games in and referees so far have had nightmares!! Two goals today that were clear goals...
Josh:, external Can't believe that wasn't allowed. How did the linesman think the ball came off a Mexican head first?
Cameron:, external Is this why English referees have been so poor this year? To prepare us for the World Cup?
Helles:, external This is getting ridiculous...

"What on earth are these officials doing? That linesman should be dropped from the World Cup. I just don't understand it. There is no contact on the keeper when the ball comes in and it's gone straight on to the player's head. That's two goals Mexico have been denied. It's an absolute joke."
Unbelievable scenes as Mexico are denied by the linesman's flag again. An inch-perfect corner is curled towards the far post where Giovani dos Santos is unmarked and he nods in before wheeling away in celebration. It is short-lived, though, as he spots the flag and screams in frustration.
Such an opportunity for Mexico! Andres Guardado curls a delightful free kick towards the back stick and much to the delight of the Mexico fans both Hector Moreno and Rafael Marquez break away from the defence. However, the fans' joy soon turns to frustration as both jump for it, with Marquez succeeding in nodding the ball over the head of Moreno and wide.
Where is the communication lads?
Arum:, external For those of you who might not be conversant with African football, Cameroon are a mediocre team. They qualified at the expense of Cape Verde who they claim to have played an "ineligible" player.
The ball is pinging around all over the place in the Mexico area as the Aztecs once again struggle to deal with a set piece. Mexico look excellent going forward but, at the moment, their shaky defence could be their undoing in this tournament.

"What a fantastic run by Benoit Assou-Ekotto. Samuel Eto'o mis-kicked it and it hit the outside of the post. That's Cameroon's best moment by far."
Ooof! Cameroon are getting closer now as Benoit Assou-Ekotto, sporting a spectacular Afro, breaks into the Mexico box from the left before cutting a low ball back to Samuel Eto'o, who skews his shot on to the outside of the post from eight yards.
George, London: Great finish from Dos Santos. Should have counted. Thought Cameroon would be solid but Mexico are playing with great pace.
Afolabi:, external Second match and another officiating blunder, that was never an offside in a million years. Should have been one nil Mexico.

"What a positive start from Mexico. I didn't see this coming. Cameroon though have been awful. It's still raining and outside the ground it is like Venice!"
