As if to prove Chris Waddle's point, Sergio Aguero side-foots a weak effort as Asmir Begovic after a jinking run from Lionel Messi.

    Tame.

"Nothing is coming off for Sergio Aguero. He has worked pretty hard but when he has the ball he has not created anything. He has not looked sharp at all."

Iran might fancy winning this group.

Almost another own goal! Great ball in and Argentina defender Federico Fernandez heads away from inside his goalmouth.

That's better! Argentina move the ball quickly, Lionel Messi gets it in a dangerous area and finds Sergio Aguero with a quick ball. Aguero leans back and puts his shot into the stands but at least it was an effort.

The most damming indictment I can make of Argentina is that they are playing like England at the last few World Cups.

They all look unfit, slow and out of ideas.

James:, external The ball needs to be played a lot quicker and earlier to Sergio Aguero. Argentina have been dismal.

If a front four of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain and Angel Di Maria can't get goals then we may as well all give up and go to bed. It's still all very flat though.

Bosnia free-kick in a good area. Izet Hajrovic gets it up and over the wall well enough but Sergio Romero moves his feet sharply and makes the save.

"The Argentina coach had to change it. He has gone back to a back four, he has a creative player in midfield and three in attack. There will be a lot more movement now in areas their dangerous players can have an impact."

"It looks like Lionel Messi will play slightly deeper off the front two now, which is how Argentina have played in most of the qualifying games."

Fernando Gago never really did the business at Real Madrid or Roma but is a key man in the national side. He is a passer and will aim to get the side ticking over again.

"Fernando Gago should change this team, his introduction will knit the lines together and ensure Lionel Messi is getting the ball higher up the field."

Hugo Campagnaro and Maxi Rodriguez are replaced so it's four at the back for Argentina now. We are back in business.

Tim Vickery called it. Midfielder Fernando Gago and striker Gonzalo Higuain are both coming on at the break.

"As a football fan it has been a bit disappointing. Lionel Messi has been out of sorts, he has been in some good positions but failed to execute.

"Bosnia-Hercegovina midfielder Miralem Pjanic has been top class and so composed. He and Muhamed Besic have been protecting their back four and when they get the ball they get the ball to their full-backs and that has been a big part of their play."

Lionel Messi has not scored in the World Cup against the Netherlands, Mexico, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece, Mexico (again) and Germany.

Can he do it against Bosnia?

"Maybe his ideas are not fresh, it takes so long for him to react, he is not like Lionel Messi, it is very strange. Maybe he is feeling the pressure because everyone is saying it is his World Cup. Maybe the adrenaline, in the first game, is too high."

"Bosnia are playing with just the one striker up front in Edin Dzeko but if they are a little more adventurous they could get something out of this game."

    Neil Lennon

"Eventually Bosnia have got to let loose and I don't think they deserve to be 1-0 down. Lionel Messi looks disinterested, it's been an aspect of his game over the past three or four months. I think Muhamed Besic has covered ground well in midfield for Bosnia, but there has been a flatness, no penetration.

"They have a great centre-forward in Sergio Aguero, but they can't find him. Lionel Messi doesn't seem to have that extra yard he had before, it's not the Messi of old."

    Tim Vickery
South American football expert on BBC Radio 5 live

"Argentina have been disappointing. There has not been anyone arriving without the ball to give the man with the ball options. I would say that Argentina, based on when in possession, have been the most disappointing team in the tournament, more so than Spain.

"There are two possible changes - One is Ezequiel Lavezzi coming on, another striker, which would allow Argentina to get higher up the field and impose themselves on Bosnia. Two is Fernando Gago, you might not have heard of him in Europe, but when they play the 4-3-3 he is a fundamental part of the team."
