Tim:, external The parallels between Wayne Rooney and Lionel Messi at World Cups are beginning to show, they both seem uncomfortable out of their clubs.

"Alejandro Sabella the Argentina manager is going nuts on the line in front of us. Muhamed Besic the Bosnia number seven, is doing a great job at the moment on Lionel Messi. You just feel Argentina are moving the ball too slowly at the moment. It's all very easy."

Over to you then Lionel. You and Cristiano haven't convinced on the biggest stage of all yet.

"Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have endured a similarly rough treatment in the build-up to this World Cup and it seems ludicrous to suggest players of their ilk have failed to excel on the biggest stage of all.

"But with just two goals to his name in 10 World Cup matches, it is an accusation that was always going to be put to Ronaldo as he faced the media ahead of Portugal's meeting with Germany on Monday.

'I don't think I have to show anyone anything - if we look and my statistics and resume you'll see that,' bristled Ronaldo, a two-time world player of the year who has registered 252 goals in 246 games for Real Madrid, won two Champions League titles and is his country's all-time record scorer with 49 strikes.

'I have no words for that question. I don't have to demonstrate anything. Not now or before or after. What I have to do is continue my career, which has been great so far.'

"That could easily have been an equaliser. Argentina were lucky as it bounced to the wrong player. I have not at all been impressed by Argentina, I expected more from them."

Joe:, external Very impressed with Bosnia so far, very unfortunate to be a goal behind. Argentina have barely turned up and they're 1-0 ahead!

A really good delivery this time from Zvjezdan Misimovic almost lands at a dark blue shirt but Argentina just about hack it out. That may be their best route to goal.

Good 25 minutes from Bosnia though - bar the own goal of course.

First booking of the day goes to left wing-back Marcos Rojo, who is late to the ball and chops his man down. Can Bosnia punish Argentina from a set-piece? Hit Edin Dzeko?

Pablo Zabaleta flicks the ball up and over a defender brilliantly but Bosnia captain Emir Spahic shuts the door in his face. Committed defending from the European side.

Lionel Messi may be trying a bit too hard, Chris Waddle is right. He gets the ball out on the right and tries to take on three men when a simple pass on inside was available.

Mind you, all anybody has done in the build-up to this one has mentioned his mediocre World Cup record so it's our fault.

"Sloppy play by Bosnia but again Lionel Messi gets the ball and loses it. He is a wonderful talent but he is not having the best of games so far. He is looking to take people on and try the little nutmegs. He is looking to entertain the crowd."

"They are looking good defensively Bosnia. They are very quick to get not just one but two players straight out to the ball when Argentina have possession and Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi have both been dispossessed a few times."

After that unfortunate start Bosnia have settled down and are playing some nice stuff now.

Bosnia almost get in through the middle, their first real attack causes some trouble, Izet Hajrovic brings down a fine pass over the top but goalkeeper Sergio Romero is out quickly to beat him to it.

Bosnia then win a free-kick but Miralem Pjanic slams it into the wall.

Argentina may well win the 'loudest fans' of the tournament vote so far. Brazil will have a lot to say about that of course but it's a very impressive din in the Maracana at the minute.
