"It seems like Spain have got their head round this game now and realised Australia haven't just come to make up the numbers."
Chile are really easy on the eye. So fluid and slick on the ball. Luiz Felipe Scolari said last year that the one team his Brazil side wanted to avoid was Chile, and you have all seen why in this tournament so far.

"Shame there's not a World Cup plate for those going out in the group stage, or even a repechage!"
Ron Vlaar goes by the name 'Ron-Crete' in his homeland apparently. For his strength, not his pace.
Ron Vlaar and Phillippe Senderos at the back for Aston Villa next season? Get those season tickets renewed!
Kerry Peter Parvin:, external Vlaar is looking strong and a good player in this World Cup, wouldn't be surprised to see him join a bigger club! maybe Arsenal.

"Chile showed a bit of imagination but it was just unfortunate that Gutierrez didn't get his shot on target. Chile are trying to force the issues and Holland are trying to hold them off. It is fascinating."
Another slick move from Spain as David Villa this time picks out left-back Jordi Alba on the underlap, he rifles in the drive but Australian goalkeeper Maty Ryan makes a sturdy block. Spain finding their feet.
Erin Royle:, external Is there anyone who doesn't want #Chile to do well? Loving watching them!
Chile work a nice free-kick out to Eugenio Mena, who wins a corner. The corner is also neat and pulled back but Felipe Gutierrez blasts over the top.
The Dutch enclave behind that goal is really impressive. Every single fan is decked out in the full replica kit. It's wall-to-wall orange.
Spain will be pleased to get through the first 20 minutes without conceding... But they should be ahead!
It's a lovely pick from Andres Iniesta, floating a cross over the Aussie defence to find David Villa at the back stick, but the former Barca man leans back and shanks it high into the stand!
First opening of the game!
Nice trademark tiki-taka stuff from Spain as they patiently probe from left to right, it's played into the feet of Arsenal man Santi Cazorla, he turns and gets a shot off but it's well blocked by Matt Spiranovic.
Textbook defending from the Western Sydney Wanderers man.
Chris Gilbert:, external I have a nasty feeling this Netherlands - Chile game is going to turn into a boring dive fest.

"The Netherlands have taken the sting out of Chile. They are playing direct and taking the pressing game out of Chile, taking the sting out of what has been so effective for them in this tournament."

Chile just beginning to wake up though. Charles Aranguiz - scorer of a cracking toe-poke against Spain - sprints clear of his marker to find a pocket of space on the left of the area. He has Alexis Sanchez in the middle but his low cross is well cut out.
The South Americans beginning to look dangerous...
Good run down the left from Chile man Eugenio Mena, and it ends with Eduardo Vargas heading well over the top of the Netherlands goal.
Neither game has really caught fire.
Brad Friedel
Tottenham and former USA goalkeeper
"It might be there for the taking for Australia. Australia look to have their minds wrapped round the game better than Spain. They are trying to press Spain high up the pitch, get Iniesta off the ball and it is paying dividends. Iniesta and Torres look lack lustre."
Arjen Robben whips in a dangerous cross from the right but Chile manage to flick the ball clear. As it stands, the Dutch will win Group B.
The pitch at the Arena Da Baixada is not helping either side but it's a slow and steady start from Spain. Perhaps understandably.
An insight into Neil Lennon's fruit-buying habits there. If it's red, orange or yellow he's all over it. Don't even think about buying him Granny Smiths...
