Stefanie Schwarz: , externalReally a pity. I had hoped England would get on a lot. Maybe even become world champions.
Mark, if you text in commentary from your daughter's practice, we'll do that after the break.
Ashley in Minehead: What this match has shown so far is that England are no better without Rooney, still our best attacking option.
Mark in Plymouth: I'm watching my daughter's football practice. At least I'm out in the sun and the quality is not far off that on offer in Brazil by the sound of it. Hope second half is better will be in front of a TV then.
No goals but lots and lots of free-kicks. This has to be the ugliest game of the World Cup so far, but it's so far so good for Italy.
Is this the flattest England game at a World Cup, ever?

"Shocking. A hoof down the field by Costa Rica at the end of the half almost caught us out. You cannot afford to switch off at any point in a World Cup game.
"It needs a change of attitude. It is an abject performance. Be a bit more dynamic, work hard, you have 45 minutes left and then you can go on holiday for three weeks, give it everything you have got. That is a 75% performance."
Rockyrog: , externalWalcott & the Ox will add nothing to Eng. Injury prone and what talent they have will be coached out of them. Same 4 Wilshere.
John Dunthorne:, external This is more depressing than the first 2 games, because this is the future. Does it look better than the past?
Prince Harry skulks away from his seat looking rather less than impressed...
Nil nil against Costa Rica it is then.
Don't tell Danny Mills this is a dead rubber...

"No composure from Ross Barkley but he had no options. There was no one to pass to. England must help each other out, it is a team game for goodness sake."
Yes, yes, yes - no! Ross Barkley at his best, strength, touch and poise to bring the ball down, nutmeg one man and beat another with a body swerve, he is out on the left of the goal but his composure deserts him and he screws a shot wide.
Keep that up though Ross. Lovely stuff.
Costa Rica have made 188 passes, England 189. There's nothing in it.
England have reached parity with Costa Rica. That's progress...
Simon Weber-Brown: , externalIs anyone actually watching England play right now? I am English and I am watching the Italy game because I want to see some soccer!!
Roy Miller whacks a pass right out of play and gets Costa Rica coach Jorge Luis Pinto to his feet. Furious, is Pinto. Miller plays with Thierry Henry in the MLS. Don't be playing passes like that with Thierry in the side Roy...

"I have not seen anything to impress by a single England player yet."
Tom: We do need a few changes but the biggest change needed is the fans, boring criticism and no support. Not to mention whining
Ollie in Cheltenham: Shocking for England no passion in their play. Glad Roy is giving the younger players ago.
Pretty even game now, both sides keeping the ball fairly well. No real incisiveness from England in the final third. Same old, same old...
