Quincy Promes has given the Netherlands the lead against Scotland in the Under-21 Euro qualifier at St Mirren Park.
Mr Lamide on Twitter: "Nigeria defend like rabbits in a headlight. Not acceptable from a world cup team. Glad players could still be dropped. #bbcsportscot"
Andrew Davidson on Twitter: "Scotland don't do deflections. But when they do they're probably the best deflections in the world #bbcsportscot"
Shaun Booth on Twitter: "What a finish! Great goal from Scotland, if slightly fortunate. #bbcsportscot"
Prior to that opening goal, there was a big let-off for Scotland as a stray from Scott Brown pass allowed Michael Uchebo to stride forward but the Cercle Brugge striker shot straight at Allan McGregor.
Lovely, quick thinking from Charlie Mulgrew gives Scotland an early lead. A corner kick is worked out to James Morrison by Ikeche Anya and the West Brom man has a dig from 20 yards. The raking strike is then scooped, first-time with the outside of the boot, by the Celtic midfielder and loops past goalkeeper Austin Ejide.
That's not so friendly. Ujike Uzoenyi crowds the ball as Scott Brown prepares to take a free kick and the Celtic skipper simply hammers the ball against him.
The officials are as dozy as the Nigeria defence and a goal kick is given rather than a corner...
A lack of concentration from Nigeria sees them caught out by a long James Morrison pass and Ikeche Anya controls the ball on his chest before his shot on the angle takes a slight deflection off Kunle Odunlami and grazes the far post.
A second corner follows immediately. There are a lot of big players for Nigeria to aim for from but neither set-piece troubles Scotland keeper Allan McGregor.
A lively start from Nigeria as Scotland struggle to get a foot on the ball and they win a corner from a Scott brown block.
Referee Lee Probert peeps his whistle and we're off at Craven Cottage...
Tunde Akere on Twitter: "#bbcsportscot Nigeria will prove class tonight , so that Messi and company will know there is a battle ahead of them from the African Champion."
The pink and yellow pays tribute to the Lord Rosebery - prime minister between 1894 and 1895 and an early patron of the Scottish Football Association.
His horses won the Derby three times and, in 1881, Scotland deviated from their traditional dark blue to turn out in Rosebery's racing colours. Scotland last appeared in pink and yellow in 1951 for a 1-0 win against France at Hampden.
Scotland are sporting their new away kit for the first time - a white thing with rhubarb and custard stripes. If the legendary Archie MacPherson was still commentating, he would recycle the old "do not adjust your sets" gag from the old days of Hibs' purple strip.
Sam Robson on Twitter: "Shola Ameobi is going to a World Cup while likes of Gareth Bale and Zlatan stay at home. There's something not right there! #bbcsportscot"
The big man might have to do a turn tonight to make the cut. The 30-man squad needs to be cut down to 23 before 2 June.
There are still a few star men in the Nigeria starting line-up, with Chelsea's John Mikel Obi anchoring midfield and Monaco's Elderson in defence. Joseph Yobo is a defensive stalwart and wins his 95th cap.
There are certainly more demanding groups, so can Africa's most populous nation make an impact in Brazil?
Nigeria have won the Under-17 version of the World Cup four times, finishing runners-up on another three occasions but have never gone beyond the round of 16 in the real deal.
The Tartan Army will look on jealously as the greatest show on earth unfolds in Brazil next month. I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone that it's been far too long since Scotland were involved.
The Super Eagles reached their first World Cup in 1994 and have been regulars ever since - only missing out on the 2006 party. This time, they will be competing against Iran, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Argentina in Group F.
ian mccormack on Twitter: "#bbcsportscot A guy at the bookies told me he's going for 16-14 to Scotland, one of the goalies scoring 6 penalties - might be worth a quid!"
The Scottish Football Association was contacted by the National Crime Agency about a match-fixing threat to this game.
Leading bookmakers contacted by BBC Sport said they were unaware of any specific threat.
Scotland manager Gordon Strachan on BBC Radio Scotland
"It's given us nearly three days training, which is good. Nigeria are a big, athletic side, with no lack of skill. These guys are on the way to the World Cup, so it will be a real test for us.
"London is used for many international games and how good is this surface for this time of year?
"There will be at least one or two changes at half time. What we've seen of Chris Martin is good, he links up with players well."
Scotland U21s are also playing tonight. Billy Stark's side take on the Netherlands at St Mirren Park and really need to win to keep their European Championship qualifying hopes alive.
