"Russia did not react until the 68th minute when they went a goal down. All of a sudden they went two up front and were an attacking force.

"Russia's Akinfeev was struggling holding on to everything all night. That goal from South Korea is schoolboy. For someone who has 70 caps for Russia, that may be his last."

The African side had taken the lead through Sofiane Feghouli's penalty after he had been fouled by Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen.

But two substitutes proved the difference as Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini headed in an equaliser before Dries Mertens grabbed a late winner.

  5. Welcome backpublished at 07:10 British Summer Time 18 June 2014

Good morning and welcome to BBC Sport's World Cup Sportsday.

It's the seventh day of the competition and a vital one for 2010 champions Spain as they look to get back to form after a humiliating 5-1 defeat by Netherlands in their opening game.

Vicente Del Bosque's side will be eliminated from the competition if they lose to Chile and the Dutch avoid defeat against Australia, while either Croatia or Cameroon will also be out if they lose in Group A.

We will also have all of the build-up and latest news as England prepare for their must-win game against Uruguay on Thursday.

Every World Cup comes up with players that produce incredible performances with either a great goal or a heroic display to earn their side a result against the odds.

So take a bow Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who produced a number of fine saves to frustrate hosts Brazil as their match ended goalless in Fortaleza.

But for every hero, there is a villain.

So while Ochoa gets the praise, Russia's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev will be avoiding the papers, the match highlights and probably the world in general today after fumbling a shot from South Korea's Lee Keun-Ho into his own net during their 1-1 draw.
