Emmanuel Attat:, external Arsenal sells one of the most expensive season's match ticket in Europe, but refuses to bring in quality reinforcement. SHAME.

"It's a huge season for Radamel Falcao. He needs to prove he is fit after missing the World Cup. He has been out of the Champions League for a long time now.

"He was the king of the Europa League when he won it with Porto and Atletico Madrid. But I would think a player of his calibre would want to be be scoring goals in the Champions League."

Jack, a Leicester fan: Defoe close to signing a deal at Leicester apparently. Would be a class signing!

James in London: Just looking at the mindboggling numbers involved in the Falcao to MUFC deal. This one-year loan will cost them £24m: £6m loan fee and £18m in wages. FOR A LOAN! With no Champions League money coming in and now only 2 cups to play for. Talk about betting it all on black! I think people should be talking less about LFC "doing a Spurs" and more MUFC "doing a Leeds".

Plenty of big moves bubbling away in the pipeline. Here's a quick update of what might go through before 11pm BST.

Manchester United: Loan agreed for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao. Ajax utility man Daley Blind also expected to be completed. Danny Welbeck and possibly Tom Cleverley on their way out.

    Arsenal: Linked with Welbeck.

Tottenham: Linked with Welbeck. Midfielder Sandro in talks with QPR, Aaron Lennon interesting Stoke.

Liverpool: Winger Oussama Assaidi also interesting Stoke, while striker Fabio Borini is wanted by QPR.

    Chelsea: All quiet

Manchester City: Alvaro Negredo linked with loan move to Valencia while Micah Richards is in Florence talking to Valencia.

QPR: As well as Sandro and Borini, Harry Redknapp "hasn't given up" on signing Lassana Diarra - despite announcing that he had signed two days ago...

Crystal Palace: Close to club-record deal for James McArthur.

Big dave in Slough: Utter contempt for the fans by Ashley and Pardew. TV money untouched. Urgently need centre back and striker. PARDEW OUT!

Richard from Kings Lynn: With all the strikers that have been available this transfer window it is fair to say Welbeck isn't in the top 20!! Long season for Arsenal fans!

Nick from Kent: As a Spurs fan, what is going on? If we go past the window with our alleged centre forwards then God help us. Another masterstroke by Levy. When will someone sack him?

Wycombe Wanderers have extended the loan deal of centre-back Alfie Mawson until 1 January, reports Geoff Doyle, sports editor, BBC Three Counties Radio.

The 20-year-old joined the Blues from Brentford just hours before the opening day of the new Football League campaign. Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth said: "Alfie has been outstanding for us, particularly for someone so young who had only played a handful of senior games before he came here."

Tom in London: At this rate the rest of Arsenal's season is going to be a string of charity matches - we'll be giving away all our points!

Kevin in Lechlade: Arsenal need someone to lead the line; be able to play with his back to goal and hold the ball up. That's why Welbeck is a much better fit than Defoe or Hernandez.

Graham: The best bit of business Carlisle Utd will do today is sack our manager. Couldn't be happier!

  20. Ey up Frimmers!published at 19:07 British Summer Time 1 September 2014

Emmanuel Frimpong to Barnsley was one of my favourite transfers of the last deadline day.

The former Arsenal midfielder predictably never took to south Yorkshire and has been without a club all season, but has now rocked up at Russian outfit FC Ufa., external

What could go wrong? Ufa is interestingly enough the capital city of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
