Alexis Sanchez. If he is not creating chances, he is getting on the end of them. Santi Cazorla spots the Chilean in space on the left and splits the defence with a pass to send his team-mate away. Sanchez runs into the area and tries to curl beyond Tom Heaton, but again the Burnley keeper does well to push the ball away.

This is starting to turn into the Alexis Sanchez show.

Chelsea are currently nine points clear of Manchester City, 11 away from Arsenal, 12 ahead of Liverpool and 13 clear of Man Utd.

    Only Southampton can keep up.

    Final Score

"A magnificent goal (see 15:31). Oscar is Brazilian, we've seen Dani Alves do that from the byline, and Carlos Alberto did it too. Oscar didn't go to smash the ball but just curled it into the far corner, a wonderful goal."

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 live at Stamford Bridge

"Diego Costa is like a board at the top of Chelsea's attack. He holds up absolutely everything, and he is a nightmare to defend against. If you are a young player with aspirations of being a top striker come and watch this fella. Last season Chelsea didn't have someone like Costa and they are step above now with him and Cesc Fabregas."

Hit Wes! That's Leicester's best avenue at the moment as Wes Morgan wins the header, Danny Drinkwater reads the knock down but his low shot is well blocked.

  6. Postpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Shane Long is up for this game and he breaks forward for Southampton, but his shot is denied by Eldin Jakupovic. That will do the Hull keeper's confidence the world of good after a shaky start.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Everton centre-back Antolin Alcaraz is forced off injured and midfielder Muhamed Besic comes on. In the reshuffle it looks like Gareth Barry has dropped back from midfield to partner Phil Jagielka in the Toffees central defence.

That Oscar goal gets better with every viewing. I can't praise it highly enough.

Who was the Brazilian gentleman who scored a stunner against Scotland in 1982? It was nearly as good as that...

Entertaining stuff now at the Emirates as chances fly in at both ends. First, Scott Arfield scampers towards the Gunners' area with Danny Ings in support, the midfielder spots his team-mate and passes low but Mathieu Flamini is back quickly to stab the ball away from Ings' feet. Then, Alexis Sanchez cuts in from the left and smacks a decent effort from outside the area that Tom Heaton parries.

    Former England defender Danny Mills
    Final Score

"I have worked under Stuart Pearce and he has a fantastic impact early on but sometimes his game plans become predictable. Once teams become aware they defend properly and it makes his sides very easy to play against. Forest look a little bit old fashioned in the way they play."

Watford can go top with a win today but they are currently losing at home to Millwall, who lead 1-0 at Vicarage Road through Martyn Woolford's strike. Middlesbrough have raced into a 2-0 lead at Rotherham that moves them up to second in the 'as it stands' table.

At the other end of the table, Lee Clark's Blackpool are trailing at home to Ipswich in the manager's first game. Nottingham Forest, without a win in eight, are already 2-0 down at Huddersfield.

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 live at Stamford Bridge

"What a wonderful goal with the outside of his boot from Oscar. That's just a different class. Chelsea have probed QPR from the beginning and they have got their reward. Match Of The Day will be worth watching tonight just for the technique of that goal alone."

  13. GOALpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

    Victor Moses. Pinball wizard.

Stoke take a very scrappy lead when the ball is pumped into the box from the right and there's bodies everywhere before Moses finally bundles the ball over the line. West Ham had umpteen chances to clear. Big Sam will be livid. Row Z, lads. Row Z.

  14. GOALpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Brazilian class! What a finish from Oscar! Absolutely tremendous.

It's yet another assist from Cesc Fabregas, who must be setting all manner of records. He glides through two men before laying the ball into the run of Oscar. He's wide on the right of the box but bends the outside of his boot around it to arrow it into the far corner. Such a good strike...

Still just the one goal in the Premier League, but Leicester tank Wes Morgan is close to the second, flashing a header wide from a Matty James corner.

  16. Postpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Eldin Jakupovic is looking somewhat uncertain in the Hull goal and he gets caught in two minds when Southampton ping a ball forward for former Tigers striker Shane Long, who nods beyond Jakupovic but wide of the target.

    Former Tottenham striker Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"It is end-to-end at Goodison Park. Just after an Everton attack Swansea broke forward with such speed. It was so impressive and Everton are going to have to be very mindful of that if they are not going to concede in this game."

West Ham are causing Stoke the odd problem on the break, and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is almost embarrassed when he clears a long ball straight to Stewart Downing, who dithers and loses his chance of a shot.

Downing gets another sight of goal in the same attack, though, playing a one-two with Alex Song before lashing over from a tight angle.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Jamie Vardy appeals for a penalty after taking a tumble in the box under a challenge from Joleon Lescott. But the West Brom centre-back timed his tackle well and managed to get his toe to the ball to clear a poor back pass from team-mate Craig Gardner inches ahead of the striker.
