  1. Can we have the lights on please?published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

I've never seen this before. Scenes from a Test match as QPR keeper Rob Green asks referee Mike Jones for the floodlights on! I didn't know players could make such a request.

Chelsea are only allowed to bowl spin for the next few overs...

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

Oh so close from Santi Cazorla! Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gets away down the right and his cross meets the onrushing Cazorla, who fizzes a volley just wide.

Problems for West Ham centre-back Winston Reid, who appears to pick up a bang to his left thigh in a collision with Steven Nzonzi, and is hobbling off, to be replaced by James Tomkins in a straight swap.

Just before the change, Stoke almost scored as Bojan Krkic was played into space down the right, and whizzed a ball across the six-yard box, which Mame Biram Diouf just failed to connect with.

"That was a wonderful chance for Leroy Fer on the break for QPR, but why he didn't he pull the trigger? You have to make a chance like that it count in those areas."

Chance for QPR! Leroy Fer does brilliantly to power through the middle - like Yaya Toure in his pomp - it all opens up for him but at the last minute he checks onto his right foot and is tackled. At the other end, Cesc Fabregas, from a similar position, pulls the trigger early and tests Rob Green.

Half-a-chance for Burnley as a heavy touch from Mathieu Flamini lets in Marvin Sordell, but the Frenchman recovers well to force the striker wide and then cut out his attempted pull-back. Moments later, Arsenal have penalty appeals for a penalty waved away when George Boyd appears to handle the ball when jumping.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

A lucky escape for Everton? Antolin Alcaraz appears to handle inside the area, but nothing given.

"Chelsea are always probing and searching for those openings. Possession is key, but they use it well."

Diego Costa looks fit enough to me. Maybe he's never been fully fit, who knows? But he just put in a 45-yard sprint to charge down a clearance. QPR look well drilled. But you'd expect Chelsea's class to tell in the end.

England boss Roy Hodgson has made the trip to the KC Stadium and has been witness to the only goal in the 15:00 GMT Premier League kick-offs. Apart from that, though, there has been very little for him to enjoy, with play largely being contested in midfield. It's a tight battle.

    Final Score

"Eden Hazard is looking bright, but when you go to Chelsea you are going to line up and make it difficult. I don't expect this game to burst into life until the second half at the earliest."

"Wheels have fallen off Southampton's bandwagon. Took them nearly three minutes to score at Hull. Cracking finish by Victor Wanyama."

Diego Costa v Richard Dunne, the sort of duel normally promoted by Don King. Costa looks to get the run on Dunne but as many a striker has found out over the years Dunne can shift and gets across to cover.

Was that a grimace from Costa? Is he injured again?

Everton are starting to take control of this game and have a couple of chances as first Leighton Baines curls a free-kick wide, before a weak clearance allows Gareth Barry to have a crack at goal but his shot is straight at Lukasz Fabianski in the Swansea goal.

Best moment yet for Leicester as they work a corner out to the edge of the 'D', Danny Drinkwater has it on his left side but leans back and slams the shot over the top. No Leonardo Ulloa for Leicester today of course - he's been left out.

  16. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

A frustrating moment for West Ham midfielder Alex Song, who makes a 40-yard burst forward after dispossessing Steve Sidwell, only to overcook the pass to striker Enner Valencia - and the ball rolls away for a goal kick. Song looks to the Potteries skies in anguish.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

QPR have been under the cosh but they fashion a chance on a rare breakaway, Charlie Austin heading on to the top of the net. He won't get many better sights of goal than that this afternoon.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2014

A game of few chances at the Emirates so far, but the best of a limited bunch falls to Danny Welbeck, who dribbles his way into the area and clips a shot beyond Burnley keeper Tom Heaton, but the ball strikes the body of Kieran Trippier and deflects behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

"The West Ham fans I spoke to before kick-off were all enjoying their team's new style of play this season as well as their recent results and they are in party mood at the start of this game, taking approximately two minutes to start their first chant of "we're going to win the league". Think it was towards the end of the 1985-86 season when they last had a genuine reason to sing that.

"Mind you, old habits clearly die hard for Hammers boss Big Sam Allardyce. Forget the passing game - West Ham kicked off by playing the ball back to James Collins, who launched it high and long towards the Stoke area as three team-mates gave chase."
