James Porter:, external Ayoze Perez is brilliant great little player. Fair play to Alan Pardew. Liverpool are a very stop-start team, Daniel Sturridge is needed.

Sean Patrick:, external So happy Newcastle are doing better now, but do the "Pardew out" fans deserve these good results?

Alex Watson:, external What on earth has Alan being feeding them the last week or so? Too early to claim turnaround of the century?

"It was a difficult one. Mario Balotelli's pass was good but it was curling away and Alberto Moreno seemed to get himself in a bit of trouble with his non-kicking foot.

"I'm not sure about playing Raheem Sterling out on the wing. I think he is better as a free player in the centre of midfield. When he is out on the flank the full-back can match him. Liverpool need a bit more spark in their play if they are to find something here."

"Moussa Sissoko has played well today. He has been the one player who looks like he can really do things with his running off the ball and he has had good control. He made the goal too.

"Now this is a good game. There's nothing like a goal to bring players to life. Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli are playing as twin strikers for Liverpool now. Raheem Sterling is on the right and Fabio Borini on the left. It is almost a 4-2-4."

Southampton are the new Liverpool. Attacking, fluent, exciting to watch. Liverpool the new Northampton?

Second-placed Saints manager Ronald Koeman is in an upbeat mood ahead of kick-off at the KC Stadium.

"The players deserve this position," he said. "They showed great ambition, great character. Confidence is important. Everything is more difficult without it. They (Hull) are strong but the belief is in our team, the confidence is in our team."

Rich Kelly:, external Brendan Rodgers blown millions on rubbish players, can't beat a poor Newcastle side.

Matthew Bennett:, external Has Rickie Lambert run over Brendan Rodgers cat?! 14 minutes in a game when Mario Ballotelli has been absolutely diabolical.

Mohammad Rizwan:, external Liverpool wouldn't get out jail every time by scoring late goals. Awful performance again.

Newcastle suddenly looking dangerous at every attack now, Moussa Sissoko the latest man to break the porous Liverpool backline and his low shot is well clawed out by Simon Mignolet.

"And that really should have been 2-0. Newcastle were two against one, and then Remy Cabella was through on his own and I thought he should have hit it earlier. A good save by Simon Mignolet, but a wasted chance by Newcastle. That could have been it. Liverpool are grateful to Mignolet. The game has certainly come to life since the goal."

After spending most of the last six weeks on the bench, the lesser-spotted Bojan Krkic is in Stoke's starting XI for the second time in four days, with the former Barcelona forward keeping his place up front following Peter Crouch's red card in Wednesday's Capital One Cup defeat by Southampton.

High-flying West Ham are forced into one change from their impressive win over Manchester City last weekend. In-form striker Diafra Sakho, who will make Premier League history if he scores in a seventh successive Premier League start, has failed to shake off a shoulder injury. Hammers boss Sam Allardyce reverts to one up front, Enner Valencia, and brings in Cheikhou Kouyate to bolster his midfield.

Stoke City starting XI: Begovic, Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, N'Zonzi, Sidwell, Moses, Walters, Bojan, Diouf.

West Ham starting XI: Adrian, Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Song, Noble, Kouyate, Amalfitano, Downing, Valencia.

Chris Goodall:, external Awful defending from Alberto Moreno, not for the first time this season.

What sort of thing is happening here?! Liverpool all at sea at the back, a complete shambles, and Newcastle should be 2-0 up. Newcastle have two-on-one on the halfway line, they play it well to stay onside and sub Remy Cabella is clean through on goal.

Just the keeper to beat, but Simon Mignolet makes a big save with his ankle. Has to score...

"Liverpool were caught out there. A quick move down the left and I thought Glenn Johnson should have come across. The ball got a fortunate rebound to Ayoze Perez, who was no more than six yards out, and he thumped the ball. Simon Mignolet had no chance of saving it."

Out of nothing! It looked like being a 0-0 all day long but Newcastle craft out an opener, with the aid of some more rank defending.

Paul Dummett puts over a cross from the left. Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno reads it well to cut it out, but then takes a heavy touch to allow Ayoze Perez to steal in and smash home from close range.

Moreno did not have that much time...

QPR also make one change to the side that overcame Aston Villa 2-0 on Monday, Junior Hoilett starting in place of Bobby Zamora, who drops to the bench. There is no Adel Taarabt in the 18.

Chelsea starting XI: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Luis, Matic, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Costa.
