Wale ibraheem, external: When you don't take your chances against a big team, it will come to hunt you. Berjorn should have scored that.

DrHolmes, external: This Barcelona defence is still shaky after all that investment They need a leader. Pique isn't one. Kompany/Thiago Silva would do.

    Spanish La Liga

Earlier, Real Madrid warmed up for their Champions League game at Liverpool next Wednesday with a convincing 5-0 La Liga victory at struggling Levante.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring with a penalty after Juanfran fouled Javier Hernandez, who then put his side 2-0 ahead with a close-range header. Ronaldo finished off a counter-attack for his 10th goal in four league games.

James Rodriguez then scored from Toni Kroos's through-ball, before Isco added a fifth from outside the penalty area. Real's win lifted them to within a point of leaders Barcelona.

Barca in charge, but Eibar are defending solidly and in numbers. The mood around the Nou Camp does not improve as Neymar picks up a harsh yellow card for what appeared a legal challenge on Dani Garcia.

So close for Messi. A loose ball falls at his feet just inside the Eibar penalty area and he smashes a shot narrowly wide. Barca's No 10 could have had a hat-trick. Could he be feeling the nerves with this record hanging over him?

We asked who has made the bigger impact for their club - Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?

StoneWall Sid, external: The difference is Messi scores in big games and when it matters most.

Dennis Waithera, external: I think both players are as important to their respective clubs, both miss a game and their teams can't find a rhythm.

Dr Holmes:, external Zlatan Ibrahimovic said it best: Ronaldo's made in the gym. Messi's from another planet.

Neymar threads the ball to Messi on the edge of the Eibar area and, for one brief moment, it looks as though Barca's No 10 is through on goal before he is stopped in his tracks.

Decent start by newly-promoted Eibar. There's no sign of stage fright as they settle quickly. Barcelona happy to allow the visitors enjoy early possession. Little sign of Lionel Messi so far.
