What more can happen? We've seen the lot, but it still remains Liverpool's title. A goal in either Manchester or Solihull will change that, though. Manchester City's Toni Duggan is back up after requiring treatment, almost getting through on goal.

Chelsea have 10 minutes to win the league.

"This game is all Chelsea - they're dominating. And now Manchester City are down to 10, it's all in Chelsea's hands."

  3. RED CARDpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 12 October 2014

You can't do that. Manchester City's Abbie McManus completely loses the plot, throwing an elbow into the face of Yuki Ogimi. At first, it's a mystery as to why the red card is shown, but replays show that is was the correct decision. City are down to 10 and Chelsea's title bid is boosted further. Madness.

All of a sudden, Chelsea are buzzing, the dark blue all over the sky of City. Another corner only needs a touch to provide the equaliser, but it goes begging. Eni Aluko is running at the defence, trying to provide the spark. You feel this game has more goals in it.

Game on! Gilly Flaherty's bullet header gives Chelsea a glimmer of hope. With 20 minutes to go, one more goal for Chelsea will return them to the top of the WSL. Birmingham are in the same position, while Liverpool are the team that is top of the lot. What an amazing finish to the season.

"Chelsea train maximum three times a week, whereas Manchester City are full-time. And you can see that clearly whenever City get on the ball, with the precision of their passing and the quality of their movement. I'd love to see a time when all WSL teams go professional - that'll improve the standard even more."

Liverpool can do no more. Fara Williams does the business from the penalty spot after Natasha Dowie was fouled by Jemma Rose. They had to win their game and that is what they are doing. It seems that only Birmingham can stop them now.

Ah, I have an answer. There are two versions of the trophy, one in the Midlands and one in the North West. That version is currently on the back of a motorbike, heading from Manchester to Widnes.

Now then, the question on everyone's lips. Where is the trophy? Is there three different versions? Is it in a helicopter?

"Manchester City's game plan seems just right at this moment in time. They keep hitting Chelsea on the counter-attack with all their quick players. The problem for Chelsea now is they have to go for it, but they're leaving massive gaps at the back. And Man City are finding all those spaces."

Brynley in Molesey: Real shame that Chelsea are down by two. I thought this would be Chelsea's men and women's year but clearly that isn't going to happen...

Sulaiman from London: Matt Beard, the Liverpool coach, clearly told his players not to let this chance slip in the half-time team talk. Let's see if they can hold their nerve and show the men how it's done.

Half an hour to go in the WSL season. Chelsea need to find two goals, Birmingham one. Liverpool need everything to stay as it is.

It just doesn't look to be happening for Chelsea. If anything, Manchester City look more likely to add to their tally. As it stands, Liverpool and Chelsea have 26 points, with Liverpool's goal difference two better. Birmingham have 25 points, with a goal difference the same as Chelsea's.

The outsiders are pulling away. Liverpool are 2-0 up on Bristol Academy, a great run down the right from Lucy Bronze somehow ending with the ball in the back of the net. Liverpool are top, Birmingham need only a winner to take their place and Chelsea look to be toast.

Now then, is this the goal that will take the title to Liverpool? The defending champions are ahead against Bristol, Natasha Dowie rolling the ball into an empty net to finally put the Reds ahead. As it stands, Liverpool are top of the WSL. Chelsea have to find something against Manchester City.

Hannah Keryakoplis scores Birmingham's second, as the ball ricochets to her and she places her effort past Carly Telford. The Blues are back on level terms and, with Chelsea losing, a winner would hand them the title.

"I think manager Emma Hayes probably told Chelsea exactly what she thought of them at half-time. They were out very early for this second half - that's a sign of intent. It will be interesting to see how Chelsea start this half."

Replays of that penalty appeal show that the ball did bounce up to hit the hand of Emma Lipman, but there's not much the City player could have done. Chelsea have been camped in the City half, but are almost caught by a Toni Duggan counter.
