"Erm, not a single goal in the Premier League three o'clock kick-offs at half-time. They should've taken the international break this weekend."

Goalless at half-time, across the board in the Premier League.

This just won't do. Come on now. Enough's enough.

"Not a lot has hit Julian Speroni's goal. Lots of possession and lot of opportunities to create openings, but nothing has materialised from Manchester United so far.

"Palace created the best chance of the half and their backline have been particularly impressive. And they have forced United's play out onto the flanks a lot of the time. Frankly, I've been a bit disappointed by United. Van Gaal has a bit of talking to do at the break."

    Jonathan Pearce
BBC Match of the Day commentator at Old Trafford

"No goals, Fraizer Campbell, former Manchester United player, missed the game's best chance, Luke Shaw had the game's best moment with a brilliant run but the scoreline is 0-0 at half-time."

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2014

MOTD's John Roder at St Mary's

"Southampton have dominated possession at a very wet St Mary's with chances few and far between. Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle have been industrious for the Saints but Leicester are defending stubbornly and well."

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2014

MOTD's Guy Mowbray at Turf Moor

"Burnley have been the better team but been unable to turn it into goals. Danny Ings and George Boyd have certainly been lively for the visitors. Hull City haven't really got going."

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2014

Roy Keane looks furious on the Villa bench, but that doesn't really tell you anything about the game. They could be winning heavily and he'd still be livid.

As it is, Villa are posing more problems of their own, but the Hammers look a proper attacking outfit at times. Like this! Stewart Downing has a chance after a really nice flowing move but he leans back and fires over.

Adnan Januzaj half-dives in the penalty area, Joel Ward just pulls out of a tackle and both players end up on the floor. No contact, no foul, no decision, but no real dive.

This sums up Leicester's problems today. Here is the touch map of their striker Jamie Vardy. Neither he nor Leonardo Ulloa has touched the ball in the Southampton box.

Edd: It amazes me that people are saying Chelsea are already champions when they're only six points clear of Manchester City if they win against QPR today. And it's autumn. Get a grip!

Michael, Manchester: Adnan Januzaj reminds me of Federico Macheda. Breaks into the Manchester United side with a moment of magic, and has done nothing since. Don't see his future at United long-term myself.

"Fraizer Campbell was all on his own because the two United defenders left the ball. It bounced for him perfectly in order for Campbell to complete the lob. But he put too much on it over the keeper and somehow, and I don't know how, he's missed it. And it was a gift of a chance, an absolute gift."

Big, huge chance for Crystal Palace, and you have to wonder if they will get a better one all day.

Horrible defending from Manchester United, just a route one over the top which Daley Blind and Paddy McNair make a total hash of. Fraizer Campbell is in, he lifts it over the top - and well over the top. Into the Stretford End.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2014

Southampton suffer an injury blow when Steve Davis reluctantly trudges off injured, to be replaced by Jack Cork.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2014

Villa possess some real pace on the break, and they force a good save from Hammers keeper Adrian. Charles N'Zogbia finds Andreas Weimann, he pulls the trigger and the keeper pushes over the top.

Whatever happened to Jamie O'Hara? The 28-year-old has just come on for Blackpool having not played a game of football in over a year.

His re-introduction to the game is punishing as Souleymane Doukara puts the Tangerines 2-0 down at Leeds United.

Elsewhere, Fulham got pummelled in the early stages at home against Huddersfield but Hugo Rodallega's cool finish from 12 yards means they lead. No goals in the game between fourth-placed Watford and Ipswich, who sit fifth.
