Tony in London: Gutted for Bobby Soldado tonight, what's he got to do to get a run in the team, hope he comes off the bench to get a point for the Spurs
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on BT Sport: "Olivier Giroud is alright - he has just come back from three months out so I have given him a breather tonight. Southampton are a team fighting at the top of the league and it is important we beat them."
Played 13, won 10, drawn three, lost zero. Scored 30, conceded 11.
Chelsea have made the Premier League look easy so far this season. Will Tottenham test them this evening? A main ingredient is missing from the Chelsea pantry...
What time do you like to take your seat before a game? There are maybe only 200 fans inside Stamford Bridge as the Chelsea players emerge for their warm-up, some 35 minutes away from kick-off. Every man, woman and child who is in their seats give Didier Drogba a healthy round of applause.
Celtic can move three points clear at the top of the Premiership with a home win against Partick Thistle. The Jags were on the wrong end of a 6-0 League Cup thumping at Celtic Park in late October and have not won this Glasgow derby since 1995. Rangers have yet to beat Alloa this season following two Championship draws but there will be a winner tonight as those two go head-to-head for a place in the Petrofac Training Cup.
Tryone Magomana:, external As a #saintsfc fan, praying that the boys respond the the weekend defeat by #mancity. We need to get back to winning ways
One change for Arsenal as midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces Olivier Giroud.
Midfielder Jack Cork and forward Shane Long return for Southampton in place of Morgan Schneiderlin and Sadio Mane.
Arsenal XI: Martinez, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis, Welbeck.
Southampton XI: Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Wanyama, Cork, Davis, Tadic, Long, Pelle.
Not feeling particularly confident then Elton? Spurs gaffer Mauricio Pochettino doesn't exactly stick his neck on the line when he says that Chelsea are 'the best team in the league so far.'
Elton in London: As a Spurs fan, if you offered me a draw right now I'd bite off your hand, arm, shoulder and most of your upper torso.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez: "We move from the game at the weekend against Tottenham and look forward to playing Hull. Hull are very flexible and I expect it to be a well-contested game.
"We've finished the first third of the competition and now we want to maintain a good momentum. After losing a game we want to bounce back straight away. At home we have an incredible following and we need to make sure we play at a good level."
Hull manager Steve Bruce: "We've played exceptionally well at away grounds and we have to find that bit of form again that has eluded us in November.
"That's the Premier League. It's our turn to have a dodgy time. We have to roll our sleeves up."
Where's it all gone wrong for Hull? In the early hours of post-Transfer Deadline Day reflection, the consensus was that Steve Bruce had dome some cracking business.
Yes, they'd lost Shane Long, but adding Hatem Ben Arfa, Gaston Ramirez and Abel Hernandez to go with Robert Snodgrass, Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Diame looked like a fine summer's work for the FA Cup finalists.
But it's been a steady slide down the table for Bruce's boys. Defeat at Manchester United at the weekend coupled with results last night means that the Tigers are in the relegation zone for the first time all season.
In fact, Hull have won only six Premier League games in 2014 so far. Annus horribilis.
A few early responses on Twitter to the subject of Arsenal's current state of affairs:
Luke Gwalchmai:, external People were moaning about Arsenal having no ambition to win things for years, now the fans call for it it's greedy; can't win!
Will Lack:, external Absolutely they should be annoyed. A club the size and stature of Arsenal should be winning more titles
James Gulleford:, external I'm a Chelsea fan but Arsenal should be challenging us for the title and Europe. A club of their stature should expect better
Two changes for Sunderland, with on-loan Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates startling along with former Rochdale midfielder Will Buckley. Adam Johnson and Wes Brown make way.
Defender Dedryck Boyata starts his first Premier League game for Manchester City for almost a year, while Martin Demichelis is also back in the defence. Vincent Kompany has a hamstring injury and Eliaquim Mangala is suspended.
Sunderland XI: Pantilimon, Vergini, Reveillere, O'Shea, Coates, Cattermole, Larsson, Rodwell, Buckley, Wickham, Fletcher.
Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Boyata, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Toure, Nasri, Navas, Jovetic, Aguero.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "It's two big clubs in London, there is a rivalry so it's a big game. I don't even think about Diego (Costa), I have Didier Drogba and Loic Remy on the bench.
"I trust my players, I don't cry when others don't play. We are ready."
An away day to steer clear of here on the back of our bogey teams question earlier:
Timmy Smith:, external as a Colchester fan the trip to MK Dons has scarred me. We always lose, often heavily, as in Saturday's 6-0 obliteration.
You could be the only man in Britain fearful of a trip to Milton Keynes Tim.
Frank Lampard has been a bit of a revelation since joining City hasn't he? Lampard (45) is the only midfielder to score more Premier League goals than Yaya Toure (44) in the period since the latter joined Man City in August 2010.
Lampard is on the bench tonight.
Everton make one change with midfielder Leon Osman coming in for striker Samuel Eto'o.
Hull make four changes with Liam Rosenior, David Meyler, Tom Huddlestone and Stephen Quinn all starting, while Hatem Ben Arfa is not included in the matchday squad.
Everton: Howard, Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Besic, Barry, Mirallas, Barkley, Osman, Lukaku.
Hull: McGregor, Elmohamady, Rosenior, Chester, Dawson, Livermore, Huddlestone, Meyler, Diame, Quinn, Jelavic.
MOTD's Guy Mowbray at the Stadium of Light
"Having frustrated Chelsea at the weekend, Sunderland could now put a downer on Manchester City's renewed vitality - and with recent Premier League history between the clubs favouring the Black Cats, it's not a fixture that should daunt them.
"Indeed, Gus Poyet's Sunderland appear to relish these games against the big boys in blue, having beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in April off the back of a draw at City that threatened to end their title challenge."
MOTD's Steve Bower at Goodison Park
"The weekend defeat for Everton at Spurs ended a run of 11 points from 15 and an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
"They were beginning to look like their old selves after the concerns of just one victory from their first seven. They will want an instant return to winning ways in the first of six league matches this month.
"On the other hand, Hull have lost their last four league matches, and scored only once in their last five. Also affecting their confidence will be the fact that they have won just once since the opening day of the season."
