  1. CLOSE!published at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Jozy, Jozy, Jozy. Shocking miss by Jozy Altidore on the stroke of half-time as the Sunderland striker is picked out by Seb Larsson, who plays the ball across the face of goal for Altidore, who is all alone barely eight yards out from goal, but he misses his shot completely. Got to be putting those away.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

    Steve Bower
BBC Match of the Day commentator at Turf Moor

"A scrappy and goalless first half. Burnley striker Danny Ings has looked the most likely to break the deadlock but neither goalkeeper has been stretched."

  3. 'Lampard should stay'published at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Former Stoke and Tottenham striker Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"In view of the fact that Yaya Toure is going to the Africa Cup of Nations, Frank Lampard should be kept. The irony is that with City three points behind Chelsea, what if Lampard provides the goals that rob his old club the championship?

"I understand Jose Mourinho letting him go, but I'd never have expected Frank to rerouted him back to one of the Blues' biggest rivals!"

"Leicester just ran out of steam towards the end of that first half but they should not panic because they've played reasonably well. In the opening 30 minutes they were the better side and looked the more likely to score. But Manchester City have got that quality - players who can turn a match. Samir Nasri hadn't been in the game, and then he produces quality in the box to set up Frank Lampard for the goal. A lot of the Leicester players were ball watching though."

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

MOTD's John Roder at Selhurst Park

"Yannick Bolasie has provided Stoke with plenty of problems, and it was he who provided the cross for Palace's opener from James McArthur, but Peter Crouch levelled just one minute and 31 seconds later."

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

MOTD's Guy Mowbray at King Power Stadium

"Leicester have had a go at Manchester City but the visitors have looked unfazed and take a 1-0 goal lead into the break."

  7. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Not sure this one is heading for the top of the pile on the Match of the Day running order. Apart from two goals in a minute early on, it's been pretty dull stuff.

West Ham are almost caught out by a quickly taken free-kick as Jordi Gomez finds himself unmarked on the left and he plays a dangerous ball behind the defence and towards the far post but it just beyond John O'Shea, who would have had the simple task of stabbing in to an empty net if he had got to the ball.

"Man City unstitched Leicester, really did open them up. But Paul Konchesky, as the left-back, should be able to see Frank Lampard in front of him, but he was stuck watching the play. He should have come across, but Lampard was left in so much space to get his shot away."

  12. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Frank Lampard's old club Chelsea haven't exactly missed him so far this season, but they are missing Cesc Fabregas. Not much invention from their midfield so far today, other than that early opener from Eden Hazard.

  13. Postpublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

    Former Welsh International John Hartson
    Final Score

"That is six goals this season for City for Frank Lampard. Samir Nasri does great work and just ghosting into the area like he has made a career out of it is Lampard."

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Fine work by Brad Guzan as he reacts instinctively to deny Stephane Sessegnon's snap shot. Sebastien Pocognoli creates the chance, cutting inside from the left and dragging the ball back for Sessegnon, whose low drive is denied.

    Former England winger Chris Waddle
BBC Radio 5 live at King Power Stadium

"Frank Lampard has been doing that for years, he always gets in the box. And there are not many of those midfielders left now, who always see an opportunity. But who was marking him? Samir Nasri just squared it for a simple tap-in. Nobody tracked Lampard. Manchester City have not deserved it, it should be a draw, but quality players always produce when you need them."

Manuel wants Frank Lampard, in the words of East 17, to stay another day at Manchester City. And this is why... the midfielder timing his run into the box to perfection as he sidefoots home from eight yards after good work on the left by Samir Nasri. That's Premier League goal number 175 for Lampard - he's now fourth on the all-time list alongside Thierry Henry.

Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill slams through Sone Aluko and is booked, with the Hull players demanding a red. It was a forceful challenge, but not particularly reckless. Yellow looks right. Hull having more of a threat up front now though. Can they worry Petr Cech? Nikica Jelavic takes the free-kick but punts it into the wall.

The first sight of Diafra Sakho's frightening pace as he gets between two defenders to chase a ball over the top and shoots first time, but his effort goes wide of the far post. The Hammers are on top now.

  19. Postpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Head down, and go for it! Great run from Danny Ings as he motors from his own box to the edge of Southampton's, but he never once looks up. He had George Boyd to his right, is blinkered though and doesn't see him. He shoots and it's easily blocked.

On the bench, young Jake Hesketh is in tears. His big day hasn't gone to plan, injured inside half an hour. He'll go again!

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Palace are convinced they should have a penalty after Wilfried Zaha's cross appears to strike Erik Pieters on the arm, but much to the winger's chagrin referee Kevin Friend ignores his pleas for a spot-kick.
