  1. CLOSE!published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Good stuff from Sunderland in the early sages of the second half as Alex Song handles just outside the area. Adam Johnson takes the free-kick, launching a powerful effort at goal that is almost too hot for Adrian to handle and the West Ham keeper can only parry it before Stewart Downing scrambles the ball away.

  2. RED CARDpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

You could see a red card coming - and this is a horrible one. Tom Huddlestone treads on Filipe Luis, high and late, on his knee in fact. A straight red card. He had to go.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Another booking for diving! Diego Costa this time. Again - why didn't Gary Cahill get one?

Former Stoke and Tottenham striker Garth Crooks
    Final Score

"Twice Chelsea players have dived in the first 60 minutes - first Willian and now Gary Cahill. It's disgraceful. Managers can't say what I'm about to say - it questions the integrity of the refereeing. Is he intimidated by Stramford Bridge? The ref is not being fair.

"Cahill is on a yellow card and dived - he should have got another booking for that. It's not fair. The only conclusion you can come to is because it's Chelsea.

"And it's Chris Foy, an experienced referee! And now the injustice has got the Leicester players' blood boiling. They're thinking they might as well take the law into their own hands."

Palace are the better team in the second half, after an even first period, and James McArthur almost gets his second of the afternoon with a low shot which is superbly turned around the post by Asmir Begovic.

    Final Score

"I have to chose my words carefully but Gary Cahill is a big, tough, centre-half and has just dived. Sometimes those are decisions (16:11) that go against you when you are down there.

"It is not acceptable in the game but sometimes if you have a midfielder who has tricky feet and goes over a little easily you can understand it but from a 6ft 4 centre-half, it is not on."

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

There is a red card waiting to happen at Stamford Bridge. Some heavy tackles coming in now to add to Hull's sense of frustration. Alex Bruce catches Willian on the follow-through of a heavy tackle and he is booked.

Aston Villa brought on Fabian Delph for Charles N'Zogbia at half-time but it is West Brom who are still on top as Silvestre Varela gets away down the flank and crosses into the box, but Brad Guzan is off his line to claim the ball.

"I know it's a cliche but the next goal really is so important. If Manchester City get it I think Leicester's heads will drop, but if Leicester score the fans will get right behind them. The home side have come out for the second half with a really high tempo. But like many teams in the bottom half they are lacking in quality in the last 30 metres."

Riyad Mahrez has been one of Leicester's best players today and he skips forward but runs into a cul-de-sac before the ball breaks for Jamie Vardy but Eliaquim Mangala is able to clear his lines. Leicester enjoying a spell of sustained pressure.

Controversy! Willian was booked for diving in the first half, and Gary Cahill has just done the same thing inside the penalty area. He's already on a booking, could be looking at a red card, but gets away with it this time.

Inconsistency which drives the Hull team crazy. Understandable too.

  14. CLOSE!published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Lovely one-touch play in midfield - but it comes from Hull, not the league leaders. Tom Huddlestone and Sone Aluko thread balls through the eyes of needles to tee up Jake Livermore. The former Spurs man lashes a first-time strike from 25 yards, skidding it wide past Petr Cech's right-hand post.

Nigel Pearson is barking some technical instructions down some sort of communication device attached to his jacket in the King Power Stadium stands. He looks a bit on edge - might not be a good time to ask him for an autograph...

  16. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

A lengthy stoppage as Winston Reid is down on the ground inside the Sunderland area, clutching his head. Replays show Wes Brown's studs may have caught Reid's head as the Hammers defender was falling, but nothing intentional on Brown's part.

    Final Score

"I don't take any satisfaction form this, but Man City's very professional performance means Leicester are failing to produce that little bit of magic needed to get back on level terms. For them, it's more likely to come from a set-piece than from open play."

Steve: Christmas is coming so do players get sent off with an extended break in mind?

Quite a cynical outlook there Steve, a footballer thinking selfishly, surely not!

Palace win a free-kick 25 yards out, after James McArthur is fouled. Mile Jedinak steps up but it hits a defender and is deflected wide for a corner.
