"Leicester have got everybody behind the ball, and when they win it are playing very quickly on the counter attack. Manchester City are not forcing the game."

Jamie Vardy, who conquered Manchester United earlier this season, is looking really lively as he looks for his first goal since that victory over Louis van Gaal's boys. This time he turns smartly in the area but straight into the imposing figure of Eliaquim Mangala. No short-cuts round the big French defender.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2014

Hull may feel that there was a foul in the build-up to that Chelsea opener, as John Mikel Obi caught Sone Aluko when winning the ball back. More problems for the Tigers too as Michael Dawson is injured and replaced by Alex Bruce.

Sunderland have started well, dominating possession, but West Ham are flying high in the table for a reason and they soak up the initial pressure and twice almost hit the hosts with swift attacks. First, Andy Carroll directs a weak header at goal from Diafra Sakho's cross, before Carl Jenkinson sees a close-range effort denied.

I'm not sure that Hull had even touched the ball before falling behind. Utter domination from Chelsea and they take the lead with a goal that is all too simple in its construction. The engine room of John Mikel Obi and Nemanja Matic get the ball and find the creators up front, Oscar is allowed to pick out a cross and Eden Hazard is unmarked to head home. Game over already?

The sun is already setting at Selhurst Park as it beats off the tin roof of one stand. Other than that, nowt to report.

"Leicester have been playing too open recently. You get away with that in the Championship but they are in the big league now, and boy have they been punished. They can approach this game in one of two ways. Either they go high and press Manchester City, who might be tired from their midweek Champions League game, or they drop off and just play on the counter attack - because they do offer a lot of pace going forward."

First goal in the 15:00 GMT kick-offs has been scored by Bournemouth's Matt Ritchie. His effort after 40 seconds against Cardiff means the Cherries are currently level on points with new Championship leaders Middlesbrough.

An early scare for the champions when Jamie Vardy takes on Bacary Sagna and beats the full-back for pace, but he's too fast even for his team-mates and there's nobody in the area waiting for his cross.

Oscar looks to be dropping a bit deeper into midfield for Chelsea this afternoon, alongside Nemanja Matic. Adding that touch of inventiveness in place of the suspended Cesc Fabregas.

Shoot on sight policy from Burnley right out of the blocks. George Boyd finds Danny Ings for a header right from kick off and Ings then has another one blocked. The Clarets flying.

Ings then curls wide from 20 yards! Superb opening two minutes...

Dan, Leicester: Today is the day when the players will have to stand up and be brave and be counted. Today is the day the players have to show why they deserve to be in the Premier League, play for their fans, play for the manager and most importantly play for the shirt. Today is they day they will show why Foxes never quit. Fortune favours the brave. Backing City all the way. Come on you Blues, I believe!

"Massive blow for Man City in losing Edin Dzeko. They will now have to try and play with a false number nine. It's been done before, so let's see how well City cope with it today."
