David, Arsenal fan in Guildford: Please, please, please hold on, Newcastle! I'll get Shearer tattoo'd across my back if you do! Maybe.

Gerry in West Hendon: Just because of a draw at Sunderland and losing so far, why are Chelsea suddenly struggling? For the past five to 10 years the North East has been our banana skin in games.

"The man extra has told already, a great leap from Didier Drogba. Newcastle just have to regroup now and carry on with confidence. They cannot give up now because they have been outstanding and it would be a shame to throw it away. But they have to defend for their lives."

They can't can they? Chelsea are back in this as Cesc Fabregas floats in a free-kick and Didier Drogba nods in from close range. Game very much back on.

"No wonder strikers get paid all the money! And Papiss Cisse is a real goalscorer - he gets his second and has only been on the pitch 25 minutes. But that is what they do. Fantastic play from Jack Colback to make the tackle that led to the break. He has been excellent today."

Unbelievable! Chelsea have looked a shadow of themselves in this game and it looks like their unbeaten run will end at 23 games as Newcastle snatch a second. Less than 40 seconds after Eden Hazard hits the post, Newcastle break forward and Moussa Sissoko squeezes a pass through to the unmarked Papiss Cisse, who pokes into the unguarded net.

Youssouf Mulumbu comes in for captain Chris Brunt who has a hamstring injury while James Morrison makes up a five-man midfield as striker Saido Berahinho drops to the bench.

Hull City XI: McGregor, Dawson, Chester, Rosenior, Elmohamady, Livermore, Huddlestone, Meyler, Quinn, Aluko, Hernandez.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:19 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2014

Cheick Tiote goes in too heavy on Eden Hazard and becomes the third Newcastle player to be shown a yellow card by Martin Atkinson. A few players now having to take less risks in the closing stages, which will suit Chelsea.

  14. Stoke will recover from slumppublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2014

    Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
    Football Focus

Stoke lost 1-0 to Liverpool last Saturday and 2-1 to Manchester United in midweek, but Lawro doesn't see their mini-slump in form continuing for much longer:

"They're in the middle of a tough run, when you look at fixtures, they were unlucky against Liverpool last week and could have easily got a point at Man United on Tuesday, they could have got something from both of those games.

"Stoke are one of those teams, when you look at the start of the season, who you think will be absolutely fine. They're not going to be relegated, and for a club with that size budget, they've done really well."

    Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson
    Football Focus

"The way Alexis Sanchez has settled in at Arsenal is an absolute bonus, because you never know with the language barrier. If you look at his build, he is as strong as an ox. Compare him to the build of Mesut Ozil, who has the body of an office worker, and maybe that is the difference in how well they have settled in the Premier League."

Stoke XI: Begovic, Bardsley, Shawcross, Muniesa, Pieters, Nzonzi, Cameron, Diouf, Bojan, Walters, Crouch.

Chelsea mix things up with a low cross into the area and this time Daryl Janmaat flicks out a boot to poke the ball behind for a corner, which again Jak Alnwick races out to punch away.

  19. Postpublished at 14:15 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2014

    Former Wales international John Hartson
BBC Radio 5 live at St James' Park

"There have been quite a few balls going into the Newcastle box and the home side have got to stop the crosses at source. There have been too many coming in without any pressure, and now Didier Drogba is on alongside Diego Costa there is an added threat. Newcastle have to have a threat of their own too. Papiss Cisse's job for the next 20 minutes is just to provide an outlet."

Chelsea are swinging in crosses like there is no tomorrow but Fabricio Coloccini looks like he can deal with them all day long as he gets up to head another away. The Blues are on the ball, but time is ticking away.
