QPR boss Harry Redknapp: "Burnley finished miles above us in the Championship last season. Both of us have the nucleus of the same sides so we know it will be a tough game."
Newcastle goalkeeper Jak Alnwick on BT Sport: "I was a little bit nervous but it was slightly easier coming on at half-time because I didn't have time to think about it too much. It was a great experience for me and I'm just happy to get the victory. Everyone backed me and showed me great support, the gaffer, the backroom staff, everyone."
Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse on BT Sport: "I didn't play very well but scored two goals and that is important. The team played very well and stayed together. As the gaffer says if we play all the game together, you have a great chance to win the game. I do my job and if on the bench I wait for my chance. I am so happy."
In the one and only game in League One and Two - as a result of it being FA Cup second-round weekend - Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Burton could join Wycombe at the top of League Two if they win at Exeter.
The Grecians are a point outside the play-off places and could look to ex-Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison, 35, to make his mark, after he signed for the club last week.
Top-of-the-table Derby will be looking to bounce back from a slightly surprising 2-0 defeat against Leeds with victory at home to struggling Brighton. The Seagulls are in the bottom three and manager Sami Hyypia will be hoping on-loan striker Darren Bent can add to his tally having scored on his debut last week.
Any one of the four teams below the Rams could usurp them at the top. Ipswich host Leeds, Brentford are at Huddersfield, Bournemouth are away to Wolves and Middlesbrough are at Millwall. At the other end, Blackpool - 10 points adrift of safety - entertain Birmingham.
Well what way to start today's football action. It is only the start though, with five Premier League games coming up at 15:00 GMT and Championship and League Two action.
Christopher Wood: Remember when a fair few Newcastle fans wanted Alan Pardew sacked? Patience and faith. Newcastle now seventh.
John Silweya: Chelsea juggernaut halted. The Chelsea bus has had its first breakdown of the season!
James Porter: That lad Jak Alnwick should be man of the match, he should be starting after that inspired performance.
Jamie Jennrich: Obvious that Nemanja Matic is the key for Chelsea, John Obi Mikel brings nothing to the team but holes in the midfield.

"Papiss Cisse made all the difference off the bench with his two goals but defensively Newcastle were brilliant. They lost Steven Taylor to the red card and still defended with their lives. Things have totally turned around here. I was here when Newcastle lost 3-0 to Sunderland last year and the atmosphere was awful. Alan Pardew and his players have shown character in abundance. Credit to them for a fantastic win."

"If you'd have asked me which team was capable of beating Chelsea I wouldn't have said Newcastle. All credit to Alan Pardew, the way he's come back from a lot of adversity, he's come through that shining bright.
"The way Newcastle fought, not just for their manager but for the team is very commendable.
"Jose Mourinho has looked anxious throughout, the longer the game has gone on, the more anxious he's looked.
"Fabricio Coloccini has been superb again today, along with the substitute goalkeeper. It really was a first-class team performance."
Alan Pardew may well have a drink of his favourite tipple and sit back with a smug smile of satisfaction when he celebrates four years in charge of Newcastle on Tuesday. He's survived a number of calls for him to leave and overseen perhaps his finest result at the club with this victory.

"The story of the game for me is how wasteful Chelsea have been in front of goal. Jose Mourinho will say it - they had numerous chances but did not take them. Newcastle, they had two great chances in the second half, and took them both. To a man they have been absolutely brilliant."
Jose Mourinho said his side would not complete the season unbeaten and he is right, but defeat might have come earlier than he hoped as Newcastle put on a superb defensive display to grind out a fine victory.
Alan Pardew calmly takes a sip from his bottle, Jose Mourinho chats angrily with seemingly anyone who will listen while gesticulating at the pitch. Still Chelsea come forward. Is there time?
Paul Dummett helps on a Chelsea throw into the middle of the box but John Terry directs his header wide. Newcastle fans are in full voice now. Great atmosphere with time running out for the visitors.

"I haven't got a clue where six minutes have come from. Now Newcastle have to be clever. What a save that was from Jak Alnwick (see 89 mins). He got a really good hand to Diego Costa's shot to tip it over the bar. Didier Drogba has played like a man possessed, he's clenching his fists, and he went crazy when he scored the goal (see 83 mins)."
Cheick Tiote nods behind a Cesc Fabregas corner. The Spanish midfielder has a second bite of the cherry, but Jak Alnwick climbs highest to grab the ball.
Newcastle fans look away now, SIX minutes of added on time. Huge boos around the ground for those digits shown on the fourth official's board.
Filipe Luis launches an effort from 30 yards that Jak Alnwick can only push back into the area but, fortunately for Newcastle, no Chelsea player can get on the end of it. Branislav Ivanovic then sees a header saved by Alnwick. Chelsea are well on top.
Ian Grainger: Steven Taylor has all the attributes to be a great player, apart from a brain.
Haydn Price: Odd subs from Jose, take John Obi Mikel off, he brings nothing to the team. Chelsea might as well have 10 men with him on the field.
Bradley Coutouly: Even at the death Chelsea are guilty of an extreme lack of urgency, so frustrating to watch.

Jak Alnwick palms over Diego Costa's fizzing drive from the edge of the area. Brilliant save by the 21-year-old!
