A good day for the home sides in this afternoon's Premier League matches with West Ham beating Swansea at Upton Park before Aston Villa's victory over Leicester.

The Hammers's win moves them into third in the Premier League but that won't last long with Southampton or Manchester United climbing above them after Monday's meeting on the south coast.

A United victory puts them in third, while a draw or win for Southampton moves them into the top three.

There will be live text commentary and audio on the BBC Sport website. Don't forget Match of the Day 2 at 22:30 this evening on BBC One either.

For now though, we bid you farewell. Thanks for your company.

  4. Manager reactionpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2014

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert, speaking to BBC Sport: "Have we turned the corner? You're never quite sure but we're on a little bit of a run. We went a goal down against the run of play but some of the football we played was fantastic. I'm not one for statistics but someone told me we had 72% of the play. We have got to try and get this massive football club up the table.

On Ashley Westwood's injury: "We won't know more until tomorrow, he's having a scan tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too bad. He wouldn't go down unless it is serious."

  6. Manager reactionpublished at 18:31 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2014

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson to BBC Sport: "It's been another tough day for us in the sense that having gone a goal up, we conceded a really poor equaliser. Then after that it was a story of us not making the most of our own situations. The winning goal was disappointing in terms of awareness. It remains frustrating for us. The longer such a difficult run continues it makes it more difficult. We have got to keep ourselves going at the moment. We'll keep plugging away."

On Konchesky's red card: "We have got conflicting stories as to what it was for. Initially we were led to believe it was for challenge which we find surprising. If it was for a coming together of heads I don't think Konchesky started it."

  10. Manager reactionpublished at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2014

More from Leicester boss Nigel Pearson on Sky Sports:

On his job security: "There is no point me worrying. Of course I am a proud man, I want to stay in charge but there is no point allowing those added pressure to affect how I am doing my job. We have the players we have, I still have a lot of belief in them and likewise they are behind the staff. Football remains a business in which margins are small and let us face it most, managers in this game and certainly this division have felt the heat in terms of pressure to get results.

"I am being rational about the situation we are in and being prepared to continue to work through what is a difficult time. It is how you deal with adversity that probably is the most important thing and defining thing."

  11. Manager reactionpublished at 18:22 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2014

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson, speaking to Sky Sports: "It never rains it pours. A frustrating afternoon for us in the sense we took the lead, conceded a really sloppy equaliser and should do better. It remains very frustrating for us and the longer it goes on the harder it is but there you have it. We just have to get back to work again, get our recovery right and prepare for the next game."

On the red card: "All I can say is that we have had an unclear reasons for it. We were initially led to believe it was for the challenge but I think now it is about clash of heads. Having seen it, if it is for the challenge, I am, not so sure it is a straight red, if it was for a coming together of heads I fully accept there is movement but it is counted against.

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, speaking to BBC Sport: "We were not ruthless enough, we went 1-0 up and let them off the hook and you cannot do that in the Premier League.

"We need some luck but you make your own luck. We have to be more ruthless."

Aston Villa's Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking to Sky Sports: "You have to win your home games in this league and I think the lads have done brilliantly today. Credit to Alan Hutton, he has been our player of the season so far and for him to get that goal, it will mean a lot to him.

A lot of the play in the final third at Villa Park but, with Villa having almost 65% of possession, there can few arguments about the result.

  19. Player reactionpublished at 18:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2014

Aston Villa's Alan Hutton, speaking to Sky Sports: "It showed the character of the lads to come behind and we are happy with the three points. It was a great ball in, I took a decent touch and went for it. It is a massive win as I think that is now five games unbeaten.

"There has been a lot of talk about us and how we had a bad run of form but it is five unbeaten now, 11th in the league and hopefully we can only look up now.

"It was a tackle, these things happen, sometimes things get a little heated. A little bit but it is not my decision."
