"It's a definite stone wall penalty. But he's hit the post, it looked like Ben Foster has saved it at first. That probably sums up Everton's day so far."

Why on earth did Leighton Baines not take that penalty? One minute of stoppage time.

    Robbie Savage
BBC Radio 5 live at Goodison Park

"When West Brom attack you have to say they do look dangerous. Everton's passing in the final third hasn't been good enough."

  7. Postpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2015

Once again, West Brom attack quickly when they have chance as Saido Berahino has a go at goal, but Seamus Coleman gets the block in and the ball dribbles through to Joel Robles. At the other end, Kevin Mirallas curls a cross into the area for the head of Romelu Lukaku, but Joleon Lescott is there to flick clear. Goalless at half-time written all over this.

It's not just Sylvester Stallone who supports Everton! Actor Dolph Lundgren, who played Rocky's nemesis Ivan Drago in the boxing films, also declared his love for the Toffees in an interview with BBC Radio 5 live back in 2012. True story!, external

At this rate, we'll have the cast of The Expendables at Goodison Park before long.

Romelu Lukaku has had little chance to make his mark in this game but he forges an opening with a brilliant turn on the edge of the area to put Gareth McAuley on his knees. Lukaku has a sight of goal but his shot is blocked by Joleon Lescott.

Clinton Eyong:, external Not very sure about West Brom sitting very deep and waiting for the counter. Might cost them!

    Robbie Savage

"With all the attacking options Everton have it's Seamus Coleman and John Stones providing the penetration down their right flank. But credit to West Brom who are keeping their shape well."

Roberto Martinez suggested before the game that Everton's performances of late have been promising. He may be correct, but I'm not seeing much promise tonight. For all their possession they are showing no creativity at all.

    BBC commentator at Goodison Park

"That's absolutely schoolboy stuff from Everton."

"Get forward" shout the Everton fans and their players obey as they push the West Brom defence back on the edge of their area before Muhamed Besic's shot is deflected wide. Corner for Everton but it is a terrible one as Leighton Baines plays it short to Steven Naismith, whose return ball results in the offside flag being raised against Baines.

    Robbie Savage
BBC Radio 5 live at Goodison Park

"Ben Foster has done his homework there. He knew exactly which corner Kevin Mirallas was going to aim at and anticipated the attempt from the free-kick."

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2015

Leighton Baines is fouled in shooting range for Kevin Mirallas, his effort is aimed at the top corner but Ben Foster has time to get across and claim. Best chance so far, though.

"That was a great run from Andre Wisdom but he just couldn't get the ball out from under his feet."

  20. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2015

Is this West Brom's tactic for this game? It has been all defence but they get the chance to quickly break forward through James Morrison who puts Andre Wisdom in on goal, but his first touch is heavy and Everton tidy up.
