Collins Nnaemeka: I'd give some credit to Algeria, they're certainly blazing tremendously.

Algeria striker Ishak Belfodil does really well to receive the ball on the half-turn on the edge of the area and spot the run of Yacine Brahimi - he almost manages to squeeze the ball into the Porto man's path but Jonathan Mensah just about manages to cut out the pass.
That's better. Finally, Ghana find a bit of quality in the final third. Right-back Harrison Afful comes charging forward on the overlap and curls in a really searching cross, which forces Madjid Bougherra into an awkward clearing header. Algeria clear the danger.

"The guys with the big drum are back. From a distance they look more like Senegal fans to me - but they're cheering on the Black Stars at the moment."
Nana Atakora: Let's be honest here, I'm a Ghanaian in the States and I really want Ghana out! Supporting Algeria like I did with Senegal.
That's the second Ghanaian we've had message us saying they want their team to lose today. What's the issue?
Ghana just can't get anything going. Afriyie Acquah fizzes in a pass towards Asamoah Gyan, but it's hit so hard that the striker can't make it stick. It's not a classic so far, I'll be honest.

"Referee Coulibaly took a while to calm that down. There's an aggressive element slipping in to this game. A lot at stake. Ghana have shipped a couple of bookings too - so early in the game, that could be costly..."
A strong challenge by Ishak Belfodil angers Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, who reacts by grabbing hold of the Algeria striker's shirt. That riles Nabil Bentaleb, who goes angrily charging in, shoving Badu. The referee eventually defuses things and decides to keep his cards in his pocket.
Ghana pump another long free-kick forward in search of Asamoah Gyan, but the ball floats straight out of play.
Dom Smith: Algeria have a clever attack that work together, so I believe that they will beat Ghana by one goal. Goal by Sofiane Feghouli.
Ghana winger Andre Ayew tries to find Asamoah Gyan with a lofted pass, but it's easily cut out by Madjid Bougherra. I'm not sure Gyan has received the ball to feet once yet.
Ilori Victor Oluwafemi: I see the final between Algeria and Cameroon, but Algeria will win the cup...
Khaya Mhlongo Khayak: The team that will win Afcon will come from this group - mark my words!
Milton Maltony: Ghana will win with a goal and South Africa will play a draw
Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah fells Yacine Brahimi with a crunching two-footer. He deservedly goes into the referee's notebook.
That chance has stung Ghana into action, and immediately they get themselves up the other end. Right-back Harrison Afful has time to measure a cross, but his delivery is poor.
First real chance of this match, and it should be 1-0 Algeria. A good reverse pass by Sofiane Feghouli gets Aissa Mandi scampering down the inside right channel. The right-back's cut-back falls perfectly for Ishak Belfodil, but he scuffs his finish wide of the target.

"Big name player watch... Current BBC African Footballer of the Year Yacine Brahimi is creating lots of opportunities for Algeria. So far though his Ghanaian counterpart Asamoah Gyan, a former winner of our award hasn't been able to make an impact...
"Still people coming into the ground - and still large numbers of empty seats, especially behind the Algerian goal."
Saphir Taider - who you may remember was shown the door by Southampton without playing a game this summer - shows good strength and skill to smuggle the ball from midfield and finds Ishak Belfodil on the right. Ghana manage to snuff out the danger. No real openings for either side thus far.
Afriyie Acquah, restored to the Ghana side today, is perhaps a little over-eager in an aerial challenge and gives away a free kick on the left. Yacine Brahimi stands over it but his delivery is not the best. Ghana hack the ball away frantically - they're lacking a bit of composure early on here.
Algeria are marginally on top in the opening stages here. They're winning most of the 50/50 balls in midfield, with Spurs midfielder Nabil Bentaleb snapping into challenges with particular relish.
Meenat Ibra: Am a Ghanaian but hope Algeria win
Sulaimon A Adelekan: I want Islam Slimani to be top scorer, he has a goal already.
Okello Lawrence: Algeria are the only organised team
